Anyone dare a prediction? Anyone going? Do we really want to progress?

    Anyone?

    3-0 defeat. No. Not especially.

We've enough on our plate trying to steer clear of trouble in the Cship.
Play a weakened side, get hammered and forget about!

Minutes in the legs for the bench warmers, IMO. 3-1 defeat.

both league games 0-0 last season, IIRC so that's not outlandish.

A thrashing heading our way, don't expect anything less. I hope he plays his best team available, it's an opportunity to gel, which we desperately need to begin doing.

I'd have thought a chance to give some players a run out, get some match fitness for those coming back from injury, so no wouldn't play the best team.

I agree, I'm personally in the 'this match isn't of significance in the general run of things, staying in this league and concentrate on developing the squad' camp is.

I see where Ramshank?s coming from but it'd be our luck that another key 1st teamer bites the injury bug!

Love a cup run although this competition doesn't get interesting until the 25th round.

It's a chance to play some fringe players or players looking to gain fitness. Needs to be a healthy mix so we at least give it a go.

Hey up Rammy,Swaledale, your lads were unlucky tonight and deserved a crack at penalties.
All the best for the rest of the season lads. KTF.

Good performance. Unlucky at the end.

Sanderson continues to improve. We did much better than I expected. Clark and Brewster looked good. How was that last minute incident not a penalty to Derby?

The big question now is, how is the squad going to look once we've put in the 25 man squad? O'Donnell won't be in it, the 3rd keeper hardly ever is. Lose one of the 1st choice 2 and you then use the emergency keeper get out. That leaves 27 to fit into the 25. Sky and others have Johnston and Travis incoming, that's 29 to fit into the 25. We need wingers, just about everybody seems to think that. Let's say we get one in. That's 30 into 25. Five to move on, either permanently or on loan. Who will they be?

Right back, I expect Johnston to be the #1
Left back I expect Beck to be the #1
                          DM pairing Travis and Ozoh
10 will be, possibly, Clark or Brewster leaving no place for Kenzo or Ebou
Who will be the wide players?
If JR sticks to his favoured 14231, how will he use Morris, Agyemang and Salvesen?
CH, we'll soon have Batth, Sanderson, Clarke, Langas and Nelson with Foz as cover for that and the LB berth

I'm just glad it's JE's headache and not mine

Just thinking out loud, Elder out on loan for no other reason than he is often injured and JE won't have signed Foz for 2 more years to farm him out on loan. Nyambe or Wilson to go out on loan, probably the latter as he showed last night he's not match ready yet. One of Tommo and Kenzo, possibly the former, Rooney out on loan as well looks on. That leaves one more, I'll have a guess at Jackson.

Quite content with that performance, just that wobbley period when they got the 1st, our defence opened up at will. Some good signs otherwise.
