Happy to do so, I suffer with arthritis in the right knee and plantar fasciltis in the left foot, causing my cuboid bone to hurt like hell. Mrs F has been on my case about insoles for ages and I started wearing some in some of my shoes which eased the cuboid thing a bit. She recently persuaded me to overcome my pathetic aversion to wearing 'sliders' round the house and bought me a pair of 'Archies' which have quite agressive insole-type contouring. They hurt more than the source problem for a few hours, but in the past few days my pain (both problems) has reduced by 90%. Obvs that might just be coincidental with the pain ebb and flow of such problems and I'm not kidding myself that the arthritis will actually go away but its a promising sign. www.archiesfootwear.co.uk

Hope that helps in some way

      Thank you. Appreciated.
My youngest, who lives in Germany, had it but received some electro therapy, two sessions of which cured him. Being thirty years younger probably helped, but it is available over here if you pay. I was going to have it before Christmas but when they (Ashbourne Sports Injuries Clinic) found out I’ve got an irregular heart beat they withdrew the offer. Might work for you and not too far away.

I have AF (the condition, not the gob****e moderator) too, had it for decades, so thanks but no good for me either. Persevering with the sliders

Sorry to hear that. Only diagnosed a couple of years ago. Hasn?t really seemed to have much impact?until electro therapy was no longer an option.

I guess thats as close as I'm going to get to an admission from you that you were wrong, so I'll take it! Worth pointing out that where we differ, is your unsubstantiated opinion against actual evidence.

            • arthritis in both knees and both feet. Had pins n needles and a semi anaesthetised lack of feeling in both feet for about 4 years accompanied by occasional sharp pain. Also a feeling that my shoes are full of sand. Tests 4 years ago came up with no diagnosis. Recently read Malcolm Christie's biography. He wrote of similar symptoms and it turned out to be Morton's Neuroma. Went back to my GP who referred me to the hospital. MC said in his bio that you need an MRI to show Morton's as it doesn't show up on an x-ray. Hospital took an x-ray and said it's not Morton's. Later saw the specialist. He was a surprised as I was that I'd had an x-ray. He arranged for an MRI which I have on March 4th. The hospital advised me to get a pair of walking/hiking shoes and special made to measure insoles. Total cost just over 500. No change in symptoms.

Has anyone suggested Tarsal Tunnel syndrome?

No. I had a plethora of tests 4 years ago including nuclear neurological tests, blood vessels tested. Result? We have no idea why you have these symptoms. If the MRI is inconclusive, I'll ask about Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. Ta.

Doesn’t have much impact til it does, if that makes sense. I’m booked in for two procedures to alleviate my AF this year, cardioversion and ablation, check em out, both a bit scary, and I take a drug that could turn me silver with too much exposure to the sun.

I?d pm this if I could because it?s a bit off topic and dull for others. Just that some years ago I had carpal tunnel syndrome and your symptoms sound very similar, albeit in your feet whereas CTS is in the hands.
Needed a minor operation on each hand, about 19 and 17 years ago. Short term inconvenience for long term cure. Surprised no one?s suggested it as a possibility. Worth asking the question.
Covered themselves by saying I might lose strength in my hands but after about two months of weak handshakes and finger/hand exercises I was back to normal with no further issue (touch wood).

Hmmm, thanks. Just off to the docs.

                          • Ta rA. Tinel's test and an EMG done 4 years ago as well as a Doppler test. All showed nothing. That just leaves the MRI which I'm getting shortly. If that shows nothing then we're at the end of the investigation as, from reading online, the EMG would have shown any TTS but didn't. I might be approaching midlife but it certainly isn't a crisis

                            • See Mandelson is the latest to be arrested via AMW’s charge of ‘misconduct in public office’ .
Unrelated in terms of events, but not in terms of the alleged ‘crime’, how come Johnson has never been charged?

Sorry I missed that evidence, what privileged route in do you have? I’m sure if it reaches the plods they’ll take action
