Thank goodness. For ever grateful to Joe, but his time has sadly been…and gone. Should think it’s between Harris and Newson but I see, as MA predicted, that Michelle Obama has appeared in the betting. Personally I still doubt she’ll stand.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostBiden steps down, there's a chance Trump loses.....
Let’s hope whoever it is can beat the deranged, ‘did I tell you I’d taken a bullet for America’, Trump and the possibly even more loathsome, Vance.

Hmmm…as I recall the ‘negative adjectives’ have been applied to the likes of Johnson, Cummings, Hancock, Patel, Braverman, Truss, Rees-Mogg, Trump, Corbyn and Farage.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostNot even saying you’re wrong, I just find your obsession with applying negative adjectives to politicians amusing
How are they all doing? Doesn’t seem like that bad a track record to me, but sorry for offering an opinion…on a forum of all things.

As you know, GP…my views may be best described as ‘centre left’ so the ‘degree of positivity or negativity’ you describe isn’t really surprising.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostNot always negative, there is cuddly old Joe, courageous Kier - the degree of positivity or negativity varies directly with the left or right bias of the political figure....
However, despite my admiration for both, I have NEVER described Keir Starmer as ‘courageous’ or Biden as ‘cuddly old Joe’, indeed I began this thread by questioning the latter’s suitability for office…so probably best if you don’t just make things up.

Being serious for a mo Harris is streets ahead of Abbott intellect wise (imagine a Biden/Abbott ticket!’) plus, Harris sort of reminds me of Jackie Brown era Pam Greer which would get my vote any timeOriginally posted by Trickytreesreds View PostHope its Kamala Harris, she's the USA's equivalent of Diane Abbott. Well last time I checked four were members of Parliament, two are raking it in on the after-dinner speaking circuit, ones too rich to give a toss about anything and ones gearing up to be leader of the free world. Can you think of a prerogative adjective for me please?Originally posted by ramAnag View PostHmmm…as I recall the ‘negative adjectives’ have been applied to the likes of Johnson, Cummings, Hancock, Patel, Braverman, Truss, Rees-Mogg, Trump, Corbyn and Farage.
