Election Year or Fear!

I’m sure this is worth discussing, but seeing as the Election Year thread, which was aimed at being a place to discuss the upcoming, at the time, UK and US elections seems now to have become a dumping ground for all things to do with gender issues, the Olympics and rioters, might I suggest that those that wish to start an Olympic/gender issues thread and a rioting/far Right thread do so…allowing this Election thread to concentrate on what it was originally created for…the US elections.

The only women Thicky approves of are those grateful for his attention, hence his inability to find one in the UK!Originally posted by ramAnag View PostTricky, one only has to look at when you contribute…the Dutch elections, the French elections (first round), the current rioting.
It all gets you going and you gleefully adopt, your excited ‘I told you so’ mode time and time again.
Where I live has nothing to do with anything. It’s a choice I made years ago and I’m far from being the only one on here who lives in what you describe as an ‘elite’ area. You may as well say that because I don’t live in poverty I have no right to comment on those that do.
As regards women…if women pass the training to join the SAS etc I would have no complaints. It’s not an area I, or I suspect you, can claim any expertise in but we come from an age when few women drove, there were no businesswomen or female headteachers/GP’s and the idea of a woman driving an HGV, a bus or piloting an plane would have been completely alien. Times change…try and keep up!

Indeed grandmaster tunnel vision has returned. What part of the spectrum are you on rA that requires such slavish devotion to a topic. Conversation and debate should be free flowing rather than being kettled into a restricted area.Originally posted by Andy_Faber View PostThats you told Geep

Interestingly I was talking with a 75 year old Indian lady, lifelong labour voter, who switched to voting Reform at last election. No confidence in Starmer to be anything other than a wet Tory (her words). Interesting although unlikely to be trend setting: immigrants wanting to keep other immigrants out. Protecting their patch.. .Originally posted by swaledale View PostI see Reform now have a multi millionaire Muslim as Chair, that will scramble the heads of a few Gammons!

If that's the best you've got, I declare TTR as gold medal winner on a TKO. Baseless personal insults don't win debates. But I expect it was a joke, eh?Originally posted by swaledale View PostThe only women Thicky approves of are those grateful for his attention, hence his inability to find one in the UK!

As an Indian she’s probably a Hindu so has common cause with the Gammons, yobbos, far-righters, old folk and Caucasians who the current administration seem to be promptly dumping now they’ve served their purposeOriginally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostInterestingly I was talking with a 75 year old Indian lady, lifelong labour voter, who switched to voting Reform at last election. Fair enough…coming from two people who are obsessive about things being marked O/T that’s a tad odd.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostIndeed grandmaster tunnel vision has returned. Wasn’t aimed at GP, or anyone else, in the slightest, I’m just not sure what talking about gender issues at the Olympics and TTR’s prison ‘experience’ has to do with either election but hey…who cares if a forum is vaguely organised or otherwise. Not the moderator it would appear.

I've never noticed that I obsessed about OT delineation, but hey, if you say so 😀Originally posted by ramAnag View PostFair enough…coming from two people who are obsessive about things being marked O/T that’s a tad odd.

Blimey I know your getting on a bit, but even for you this is out of touch! Have you not observed Sunak, Badenoch, Patel and Braverman spouting their anti immigrant rhetoric? Coincidentally all children of immigrants?Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostInterestingly I was talking with a 75 year old Indian lady, lifelong labour voter, who switched to voting Reform at last election. Do they believe what they say, or is it just a convenient way of furthering their personal ambitions? But it has ever been a human tendency to deny those following behind the advantages and opportunities they had.

I thought I’d made quite a good job today, got some footy threads up, tidied up the stickies etc. Ah well…Originally posted by ramAnag View PostFair enough…coming from two people who are obsessive about things being marked O/T that’s a tad odd.

You can't debate with a sick mind and Thicky's mind is clearly warped and sick. There comes a point when someone just spouts obvious lies, falsehoods and claims as true matters, which a little research shows are clearly not when you realise they are clearly so stupid it snot worth the bother.Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostIf that's the best you've got, I declare TTR as gold medal winner on a TKO. As for the jibe, mm somebody whose attitude to women is clearly very much in the dark ages and has ventured abroad to find someone, Thicky fits the bill of the sad older blokes I see with a mail order bride in tow happy to put up with an objectionable bloke on the basis of a better life.
And anyway I don't actually give a flying **** about your opinion.

So to put the female police officer thing to bed once and for all, senior police wallah Dal Babu, as part of his general condemnation of the Yobbos, identified one of their more heinous acts as ‘targeting female police officers’…
So even he, a senior lawman, believes the genders should be treated/considered differently

Surely, you're not suggesting conversations could go, willy nilly, from one thing to another just like they used to, for instance, in the pub?Originally posted by Geoff Parkstone View PostIndeed grandmaster tunnel vision has returned.
