Actually thats a failing of his, he seems too calm and detached from passion, he doesn't do angry very well.

Restrained, dispassionate annoyance is invariably more effective than the ranting and raving shouty version of anger, imo.

      • MP Andrew Gwynne sacked by Starmer, and rightly so, for racist, misogynistic and offensive posts wishing pensioners to die.

Reform might have found their next MP.

Stupid is as stupid says. Can’t believe what they think they can get away with sometimes can you? Well done for acting quickly and getting rid of this imbecile.

Agreed, and while my comment about reform was a bit tongue in cheek, you do winder where he will sit out his tenure as an MP. Personally think he should stand down and they hold a by election.

I can't personally see any of the main parties having him.

            • There should be a mechanism for MP's to be sacked in this sort of situation where they have been disowned by their parties and a bye election forced. His party doesn't want him and he has put his position into disrepute. He could of course stand as an independent if his constituents still want him, but at the moment he is a lame duck for 4 years...

Completely agree. A ‘lame duck’ on a bloody good tax payer funded salary!

He's been sacked from his Sec of state job but... has he had the whip taken away as well? Not read anything on that, just that he's not sec of stats any longer,

Sacked from post, suspended with maybe more to follow depending on investigation into his Whatapp group as I understand it, MA.

                    • He's been sacked as minister and also suspended by the party but not sure if that means he has lost the whip or not?

I'd rather a legitimate Mp being elected to Reform than a waif and stray defecting.

No way would Farage have him in anyway. He's soiled goods and the anti semitic rants alone are enough to destroy that idea.
Seeing as that whatsapp group contains a lot of Labour councillors, then maybe Starmer isn't on top of the racists in his party either?
As the fallout continues, The Correspondent has also reported that Greater Manchester Police have received a formal complaint over alleged ‘hate speech’ and ‘antisemitism’ in the WhatsApp messages sent by Gwynne.

                            • Not sure farages moral compass works like others though, his unwavering support for Trump who more than rivals Gwynnes ill judged comments is proof.

Think you'll find my brain washed friend, that Farage tolerates no racism/ sectarianism in any of his parties. Anyone found to have slipped through the net, is ousted immediately.
Whether you like like Trump as a person or not, is irrellevent Its the policies that matter, for the benefit of the UK. Perhaps you forget, he recently slapped down Musk, who wanted him ousted?
He calls out the far extremes like Robinson and the Islamics. Whilst the others say nothing, or let their own infestations carry on. Anti semitism was rife under Corbyn, it hasn;t gone away obviously.
Farage certainly hasn't burned his bridges like the Labour party, with their moronic , unprofessional comments. Especially backing Obama and Biden, who did sweet FA for us.

I could sit here all day with examples of your beloved Labour party, quoting them making racist/ dodgy comments, to the detriment of the nation.
