    Israel can only blame themselves.
If only it was that simple to write out.
You missed off the PLO who were intent on removing Israel from 1954
The two state solution has been rejected many times by all the terror groups you mention, who have no interest in peaceful co existence and for them, only the obliteration of the Israeli state will do. Gaza was evacuated of Israeli citizena and removed settlers in 2005, To let them run themselves. They voted HAMAS in, who removed all democracy and used the finances to purchase weapons. Rockets upon rockets launched to provke Israel.

So when you say blame themselves, it is hardly that simple is it? It takes two to tango

Hide your disdain all you want swale with less colourful metaphores, you are still parroting the same narrative.

Brown was lying about immigration as much as his mentor was.

      • Her point was valid, as under Labour from 2000, immigration , started to rocket.

The Tories took it to whole new level, though Swale thinks this is a good thing. Our population is now more than France yet being 2.3 times smaller.
It feels wonderful on our choked roads and being worse off.

        • ***Anecdote alert***Funny (maybe not the right word) thing about the last two conversations I've been part of, last night in a pub, this morning in a local cafe, and both open to all and populated by a mixture of folk, and the conversation turned at both gatherings to Trump. General consensus is no longer that he's (just) a loose cannon, or (just) a sleaze (allegedly), many who offered an opinion agreed with a number of his policy announcements and wished there was the same degree of decisiveness and direction in UK***/Anecdote alert*** Maybe the Donald is angling for a Nobel prize?

Do you think we could sell someone Yarkshire…or better still Ess@x and Clacton?

You're getting as "deal" savvy as Fartman. Trying to sell Clacton twice. Sell Ess@x, which includes Clacton and then sell Clacton again but this time as a separate entity and hope you cash the cheque before the buyer realises you've sold him something you don't own

One thing for sure, you couldn't sell the area surrounding Manchester to anyone as noone would bid 😃

                    • So Rachel Reeves, from her own mouth, bragged about her 'best part of a decade' at the Bank Of England, yet the facts show she worked there for just over four. Given our collective and individual disdain for politicians who lie and are not competent in their role, can we all decide whether she should resign because she's a liar or because she can't count?

She's an economist, her CV said so. Made a damned good cup of tea as well apparently. You'd think that had been her professional job?

I always thought you could be sacked for lying on a CV?

You didn?t answer the question. I didn?t expect you to be first not to answer the question.

The BoE suggest she worked there between 2000 and 2006 which is not ‘just over four’ years and I suppose is - technically - the ‘best part of a decade’ in so much as it is for the majority of the decade. There seems to be no escaping the fact however that she has been ‘economical with the truth’ as far as her career details are concerned.
I doubt she’s alone in that respect but it’s not a good look.

Not being able to count didn't cost Dianne Abbot her job; being a liar didn't cost Boris Johnson his job. So I'd say neither should cause her to resign because frankly what job she was doing 20 years ago isn't that relevant to what's she's doing now.

However those who manage her future direction - ie the toolmakers lad - should bear this in mind in allocating jobs in the next reshuffle. BUT show me one person whose CV hasn't stretched a truth a bit ....

stretching or just a damned liar?
