  • This is getting really weird.
It’s Sith’s argument, not mine, but it’s also, first and foremost, a forum and as far as I can see, Andy, you haven’t asked Sith a question. You’ve just, in your own inimitable way, got annoyed and avoided answering anything directed at you.

Anyway, happy Martin Luther King Day everyone. Might be the last one the way things are going.

Sorry about the caps didn?t mean to get all TTR on you

No he hasn?t, it was you who bought Starmer up. Zack Polanski has. AI says : Based on his public statements, Zack Polanski, as leader of the Green Party, would affirm that men can get pregnant.

Maybe be clear who you are on about going forward and details of whats been said rather than making it guess work.

To be honest i don't know loads about Polanski. Had to Google and assume you mean his reaction to Maxine Croxall.

I think she was right with her reaction. I have very little time for this level of PC if I'm honest.

Not sure using Polanski being a bit of an idiot is a great defence for Nigel.

          • Jenrick saying Truss should have been kicked out the party for her cack handed mini budget.

The mini budget Farage said was the best budget since 1986.

Bit arrogant to say 90% of the population isn't sensible! Weren't you slagginf off RA for what you claimed was a very similar statement, though in fact it was more nuanced than yours?
Lol…missed that. So I’m arrogant, woke and elitist for questioning the mindset of those who continue to support ‘Mr. Brexit’ with his highly questionable views and behaviour, but GP saying that ‘90% of the population aren’t (sensible)’ is all tickety boo?

Go figure. Not for the first time today…I’m confused.

                  1. Yes I will, surprised you weren't more aware of the leader of a currently riding-high political party

                  2. No not Maxine Croxall (although I agree with you about the rampant PCness), his stance reflects Green Party policy, open disagreement with being punishable by exclusion from the Party

                  3. I'm not defending NF, just identifying another point of view. Two wrongs don't make a right but they also don't make one wrong and one 'well, he was just being a bit of an idiot'...

                  • Still not sure what Polanski and the Green party policies and views have got to do with Farage.

You say you aren't defending Farage but its exactly what you are doing, you are using others to defend and deflect from his views.

I think when the discussion moves to whataboutery it may as well be left there. Its classic Farage to use the 'what about the other party' argument.

                    Bernard Manning !

Spot on. ‘Whataboutery’ and randomly introducing Polanski into a debate about Farage’s beliefs and behaviour is an example of classic deflection tactics, on a par with TTR or even NF himself.

Surprised you remember Bernard Manning though.

                        Ha I'm old enough.

It was a reference to Farages recent deflection about his alleged racist past where he bizarrely stood there in a press conference shouting Bernard Manning, Alf Garnett, it ain't half hot mum. Suggesting the BBC had no right to ask him about his activities in the 70s when they had such racist content on back then.

Never liked manning from what bit I saw, don't recall it being about racism, just came across as a knob.

Disappointing response. This thread of discussion started with a post by you including off-the-mark opinions of myself, which I thought deserved a full response on all points. Maybe I should have just ignored you like GP did

Manning’s TV performances were slightly toned down, Sith, although I think they were mainly on ITV. His performances elsewhere, especially in his own Empire Club, had a great deal of racist content and he admitted on TV to being a racist.

NF citing Alf Garnett was of course just stupid, on the basis that ‘Till Death Us Do Part’ and Alf’s whole character were just a (very funny imo) satirical parody based on and aimed at exactly the type of rightwing bigots who nowadays support Reform and Farage.

                              Lol. Patronising twit!

Sith is his own man, but what I think the above means is…don’t challenge AF’s view of the world, he doesn’t like it but has no answers.

Says the King of Whataboutery. You’ve spent a decade deflecting any point made contrary to your own view by offering ‘yes but what about’ - some subjects to extreme, I’m sure you can recall
