Make sense, big boy. On the one hand Farage is no threat. On the other hand he can stop Starmer doing something simply by looking a bit askance. I no longer wonder why Starmer is called spineless. Thanks for clarifying. Or is it people like you continually making excuses for a lame duck leader of a party with a massive majority in parliament?
I fear we should all be a little afraid of Farage, GP…those he controls - or at least appeals to - (the extreme right wingers always up for a riot) and those who control - and fund - him (the equally right wing billionaires).
I’m sure Starmer isn’t ‘scared’ in a personal/political sense - any more than I am - but we should all be wary of the divisiveness and hatred he seeks to sow across the country.

Jeez, sometimes I wonder if you can actually think, or just spout nonsense!

Let me explain, becuase I did not say the government was scared of Farage, that was your interpretation. The issue is that apart from Farage who would of course utter the words Brexit betrayal and attack on those lines, but more pertinently, the Right Wing press would howl the same, as it does whenever anything the government does involves a closer relationship with the EU. Backed of course by the largely foreign based tax avoiding billioniares who fund the same.

As for continually claiming a falling support for Reform across the electorate, no I haven't.

I have pointed out that Labour was losingfar more votes to other left of centre parties than to Refom. Something that you seemed unable to grasp for some reason.

I have pointed out as have others that support for Reform is in the region of 26% of the electorate and that the danger is that a split in the left of centre vote could enable Reform to gain a significant number of seats in a GE.

I have also pointed out that Reform's support hasn't increased significantly over the past year.

So your comments are both false and indeed childish, but then thats the level of debate I've come to expect from you.

By the way its never a sign of considered thinking when you litter your posts with cliches and sentences that you have clearly just read somewhere. A little bit of original thought, rather than paraphrasing others might help.

Never mind, I understand your a lost cause.

        • If there's one thing that Starmer might be "scared of" then, IMO, that would be giving Farage a huge stick with which he could beat him. Reopening the overseas places where people could claim asylum would be jumped all over and may well see Farage's support increase.

However, If he did reopen the closed offices and/or open new ones, we'd have the names, photos, fingerprints and DNA of every asy;um seeker on file. Those rejected might try the boat route. Once they arrived, we could identify them immediately and return them to their homeland (if that homeland would accept them back).

Ironic indeed, as is the fact that 2 out of every 5 people arrested after participating in last summerÂ’s riots had been previously reported to the police for domestic abuse.

Police data released under freedom of information (FoI) laws shows that 41% of 899 people arrested for taking part in the violent disorder last July and August had been reported for crimes associated with intimate partner violence.

For those arrested by one police force, this figure was as high as 68%.

Previous offences include actual bodily harm, grievous bodily harm, stalking, breach of restraint and non-molestation orders, controlling coercive behaviour and criminal damage.

These were people supposedly protesting and rioting to "protect women and girls"!!!

                Yes saw that.

True patriots just like this one

Billy Allison, 36, from Solihull has been charged with the murder of Matt O'Gara at the Ricco and Loren bar in Lichfield

No wonder farage is in hibernation

Ah yes…the discerning Mrs. Pochin again, and the case of Ethel McGill, who…feigned dementia, feigned the need for a wheelchair and claimed her late father’s war pension and benefits for twelve years after his death, I believe. Wonderful woman!
Former magistrate, Mrs. Pochin’s excuse, ‘we have to take people at face value’. Explains a lot, Sarah.

                    • One of Trump's latest outpourings... "Oman will behave just like everybody else or we'll have to blow them up."

I find it sad that this sort of thing no longer surprises, shocks or angers most people. Trump Numbness?

                      • Also Ironic with Trump. given his continual comments about "sleepy Joe (Biden)" is his obviously failing health and observations that he often seems to be asleep in meetings during the day. The bruises on both his hands are getting worse and he has recently been in hospital for unknown reasons, strange when most medial treatment can and is normally given to Presidents in the Whitehouse.

Trump's health and mental capacity are clearly failiung and this guy has the ability to use nuclear weapons!!

                        • Judge turns his slush fund on its head. Dropped the 10Bn claim to get the slush fund to pay the Jan 6 rioters, among others. Slush fund now locked and the Trump camp will have to give testimony under oath to justify the claim and the fund. Trump doesn't like it and has already lambasted the judge.

Another judge then rules that only Congress may rename the Kennedy Center. Also ruled that his planned "improvements" are ilegal. Trump doesn't like it and has already lambasted the judge.

A few days ago, he mentioned the previous day's voting results where, he said, lots of Republicans won elections. He forgot to add that they were Republican Party Primary elections to select their candidates for the midterms.... of course Republicans won. The man is in fantasy land.

                          • I see Zia Yusuf is today stating the white people are the biggest victims of racism on the UK.

And racist Sarah is having a rant about Turkish barbers.

                            • On the slush fund front, Newsom has now said that any Californian Jan 6 rioters who get paid from the slush fund will pay 100% tax on it. Newsom 2028?

                              • Now Trump has said he spoke with a former President who said they wish they had invaded Iran. there's only 4 former POTUSs still alive. Journalists have contacted all 4 and they all deny having spoken to DJT about Iran. Of the 5, I think I know which one is lying. He can't help himself. Many times a day. The sooner the midterms come, the sooner he becomes a lame duck President.
