In Lot et Garonne just south of Bergerac on the edge of the Dordogne. I love the sun but this is too much. People are either in their cars with the A/C on full blast, seeking shelter undercover or emptying the supermarket shelves of water.
Hailstones as big as conkers last Wednesday and unremitting heat since. A case of be careful what you wish for.
I do like France, not been that far but have spent a few holidays in the lore valley. Has been super hot at times there.

41 degrees here today and meant to be hotter tomorrow. Ridiculous and challenging my previously related life expectancy.
Looking at some of the above comments, think I might need an accountant!
It's 31 this afto here in Costa del Mickleover and it's too sodding hot for me!
I'm in our lounge with 3 fans belting out and I'm still suffering. Could cope with it in my younger days (still didn't like it even though I played cricket and golf) but whacks me now.
Still it gives me summat to moan about, I mean I have my miserable old git image to maintain!

The signature tune to 'It ain't half hot mum'!
Can't wait until 'I'm singing in the rain'! 🎶☔

          • Back on topic, we seem to be one of the front runners, along with Stoke City, chasing midfielder John Swift. One of those players who always seems on the brink of a breakthrough. Maybe just paper talk because we were linked in January.

            • Derbyshire Live reported yesterday that, back in January, we were interested in getting Yates on a permanent. PW going through the door marked exit saw that interest die.

              Batth has signed.

Excellent signing! he had a very good season last time out and provides experience and quality cover at CB, though could easily end up playing a lot of games.

                Weimann to follow it seems.

                • Weimann confirmed. Everton reported to have bid on knight, hopefully get a decent amount from sell on clause

                  • And keeper Richard O'Donnell from Blackpool as 3rd keeper.

                    • Must have been a typing error on press release, surely burn not pool. Admittedly both water features.

                      • Indeed, though to be fair, Weimann and Batth are good free transfers and an upgrade on players that have left.

                          • Are you referring to NML and Bradley, the latter of whom, although still technically a Derby player, spent last season at Luton?

                            Comment

                            • Well Weimann is IMO an upgrade on NML and a better option than CBT based on last season. Yes Batth is a significant upgrad eon Bradely, who came from Luton but was loaned to Wycombe after January and is now at Lincoln.

Strong rumours now that Derby are after Callum Brittain, a RB currently at .......wait for it....Blackburn with one year left on his contract. A RB that is able to avoid injuires is a must I'd say, so this makes sense. The info is reliable but as always the proof is in the signing.

                              • BBC reporting we've agreed a ?5M fee plus possible ?1.5M in addons with Charlotte FC for Patrick Agyemang. Personal terms and the medical after the CONCACAF Gold Cup plus he's been selected for the MLS All Star game on July 24th. We'll get him late around 2 weeks before the season starts but at least he'll be arriving match fit... unless he gets injured in the meantime.
