  • VAR Collum

    Admits it was a penalty.

5 points we have lost to VAR I reckon......plus the dab tried to deny us 2 pts v livvy.

    Completely different look to table.

If collum can't get HIS officials to get it right maybe he shud go or 3 strikes and you are OUT Var officiating.

Just give them more training. Get them to look at every error that has been made, every team in Scotland will have ridiculous errors made to their detriment. Publish an official record to record the teams involved, the players involved and the officials involved, and explain exactly why the decision was wrong.
I think it will help if everything is out in the open and claims of bias will be easily denied, on the basis of the facts!

      A few points.

Officials or officials families gambling can't be ruled out.

The rugby VAR officials much more composed than our panic stricken officials.

Refs should isolate themselves while listening to conversation either off the pitch or centre circle which no player can be near ....you can see they are struggling to hear conversation.

Yes to the way that rugby handles the decisions. However Scotland lost to France because the ref ruled no try. If he had ruled try then all the subsequent reruns of the score which showed the Scots had grounded the ball over the line would have been pointless and the try decision accepted. Because the ref ruled no try, VAR pretended that there was not sufficient evidence to show that the referee's decision was wrong. Onfield decision could not be overruled. It was a copy out and would never have happened if England or Ireland had scored that try.
I think underdog status for Scottish rugby and all football teams in Scotland apart from OF, is endemic.OF come unstuck in Europe because they have total underdog status. VAR was supposed to solve this.
Would be interested to know what the TV coverage that VAR watches is like. Do they hear commentary, stadium noise, how many cameras are there? Bit of investigative journalism might help a lot. Is there the equivalent of a black box recording?

They do a show on you tube once a month I think, maybe every fortnight.

Collum is pretty honest on it but it's his job to make sure he ain't continually apologising.

That's a huge moment in our season Saturday, absolutely huge

Agree. Surely this is something John Nelms could champion?

Andrew Dallas was useless as a referee and he is just as useless as the VAR official in charge of Premier League matches.
Dallas should be dismissed as a VAR official with immediate effect as his incompetent decisions could cost managers and players their livelihoods.

Collum was hopeless as a referee and on my opinion this is another case of the blind leading the blind
