It's pretty obvious to me that the shambles he was coming to was hidden slightly, realises he's now in a shambles, accepts already writing is on the wall but refusing to take all the blame......quite rightly imho.Originally posted by jdfc View PostTelling Dundee fans to lower there expectations, Celtic and rangers games have gave us false hope, if he thinks expecting to stay in this league, or to expect a bit effort from the team on the park then it?s time to pack his bags
I actually think he was a bad decision at Falkirk from holding his head fairly high but he was never gonna be a good fit for Dundee......he was what nelms cud get and nelms fitted a master plan 😆 for the club around Elvis ability.
Certainly replacing the manager won't get me and hundreds possibly thousands like me back......it's much deeper than that.
Elvis ain't left the building yet but the soul of the club has.

Play better fitba and show and get a manager who has a passion for the club(like the boy we sacked) and some fans would return. If doc was still manager we would have had more fans at the games due to the first sentence.Originally posted by Returnofrros View PostIt's pretty obvious to me that the shambles he was coming to was hidden slightly, realises he's now in a shambles, accepts already writing is on the wall but refusing to take all the blame......quite rightly imho.

Nothing against Pressley but the football what I have watched is dire and he does nothing to try and get some positivity around the club, have even heard pundits laugh at his comments.I get it though its on nelms but if tony doc still at dens attendances would be up,of that I have no doubt.

If Tony Docherty had remained as manager it is likely that Shaughnessay, Portales, Tiffonay and possibly Mulligan would have resigned for this season.Originally posted by eric_sinclair View PostTo be honest though we did lose a lot of players and some decent ones so Pressley has had a tough job on his hands.
Trevor Carson would be first choice for our goalkeeper and we would be playing entertaining football.

I thought the point was that they did not resign when they had the opportunity. TD was still in charge.Originally posted by islaydarkblue View PostIf Tony Docherty had remained as manager it is likely that Shaughnessay, Portales, Tiffonay and possibly Mulligan would have resigned for this season.

Big Joe, life changing move to Australia, Mulligan doubled his wages, and joins bigger club, Tiff wanted to be nearer home, don’t know about Portales.Originally posted by islaydarkblue View PostIf Tony Docherty had remained as manager it is likely that Shaughnessay, Portales, Tiffonay and possibly Mulligan would have resigned for this season.

It was posted on a forum in September that Portales was still in Dundee.Originally posted by BP33 View PostBig Joe, life changing move to Australia, Mulligan doubled his wages, and joins bigger club, Tiff wanted to be nearer home, don?t know about Portales.
A friend who was at the Sponsors Day last April (2025) overheard Shaughnessy telling another sponsor that he had just bought a house in Dundee.
It was Tony Docherty who brought Shaughnessy to Dundee from St Mirren so it is likely that Shaughnessy bought a new house in Dundee assuming that Tony Docherty would be the Dundee FC manager next season.
Tiffony does not appear to be in the starting eleven at Kilmarnock whilst he would have been a likely first team regular this season if Tony Docherty had remained as manager.

On the contrary I know that Nelms is hopeless as Managing Director of Dundee Football Club Limited as I have a copy of the damming auditors report which was published along with the Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2023 on the Club website in error on 8th April 2024.Originally posted by noahrab View PostSums you up.
Rumour, tittle tattle and made up shyte.
Nelms is right about you.
