Deefiant Burns Supper

Just had an email from Dundee FC trying to sell a 'Burns Supper with a difference' to celebrate 15 years since the Deefiant season. This will feature 'guest appearances from club legends who defined the era'.

I genuinely hope Nelms is nowhere near that event, but suspect he will be present to take some reflected glory. He doesn't deserve to be spoken of in the same building as the players and staff that helped, along with the fans that Nelms so despises, to save the club.

Needless to say that I won't be buying a ticket, can't see the cost right now but it won't be cheap, and genuinely hope that Dee4L and (no chance of this) DSA will insist their members don't attend if Nelms intends being there.

You don't understand. It's not that any particular person will or won't be there that will keep me away. I just don't go to Burns Suppers. Can't stick them and can't stick Burns' work.

I also don't drink, stopped about a year ago, 31st December 2024 in fact. I realise of course that it's possible to go and not drink but from experience drinking seems to be half the point of Burns Suppers and Dundee FC fan gatherings. So no point me going.
