Getting picked on from the Pravda morons now

They seem to think Dundee fans are the greatest in Scotland.....as SD points out....nothing like it.

    Pravda kidding themselves on again.

They might have 100% irrefutable proof though. 😯

Difficult to get behind the team when you perceive they're under performing and being poorly managed and set up.

They're giving the fans very, very little to shout about at the moment. Hopefully a decent January but I have my doubts with the business model currently being employed.

Got told by 3 different folk some of the stuff Saturday was beyond the pale.

One left B4 the end as he cudnt listen to it any longer and another said he believed there were Dundee fans at the game gagging for livvy to score a 3rd.

These guys have well over a century of going to see Dundee.

I don't like the regime but the regime ain't gonna change by hounding Elvis and the team.

The manager is failing IMO but that's maybe not totally down to him. I think January will be very telling with rumours that 5 are coming in. If they're decent, experienced, battlers who are up for a relegation fight fair enough - they would be Pressley's choices you'd think. If they're more of the same here for 'development' from the English lower leagues it'll be obvious that his hands are tied and he's just being handed players to work with. Of course if none come in..............

I agree there's no real value in booing or shouting for the manager's head; however what other route do those that are doing it have into the club's heirarchy to show discontent at their running of the club? The DSA poodles?

All angst should be directed at Nelms and to a lesser extent Strachan.......Nelms hasn't been tested to see reaction ( if any ) but I suspect if the heat was turned up on him not the manger ( manager is his shield ) he would feel very uncomfortable.

Strachan wud have a mark McGhee style meltdown.....which to be fair wud be funny but a bit pointless.

Elvis has the team pretty much where everyone expected in a dogfight with livvy and a few others.......we were near 4/1 outsiders on Saturday......we are or were 6/1 outsiders this coming week.

3/4 pts from next 3 games keeps us ticking over........I don't expect anything Saturday but not impossible, I do think we will beat Falkirk or Killie.

And again just to add, not directed at you.

I Cannae stand this "saved the club"," deserve better", " incredible we have a support" " whose had it as hard as us" self wallowing misery.

As a support I think Dundee fans give pretty poor backing, most that go either sit chatting ( at Dens) or vent fury about everything.

I've been to a lot of what I'd consider smaller clubs in Scotland who have had pretty much hee haw to shout about in years gone by whose support is much more vociferous......Morton, Pars, Motherwell, Falkirk, Airdrie, County to name a few.

We aren't a fantastic support either in numbers or support......now and again if the scores right against a bigger club the crowd get behind the team, generally last 10 mins.

Compared to the support the team got in the 80s and Deefiant time it's pretty **** now.

In my opinion the angst should also be directed at our absentee majority shareholder Tim Keyes.
In July 2014 after Scot Gardiner resigned as Chief Executive of Dundee Football Club there was a boardroom reshuffle and John Nelms was appointed managing director.
It is highly likely that Tim Keyes sanctioned John Nelms being promoted from a director of. Dundee Football Club to managing director instead of advertising the Chief Executive position to appoint the best candidate for the job.

The current team reminds me of the time when Neil McCann was the Dundee FC manager and his team played boring, defensive, negative football. At times Dens Park was like a morgue as there was nothing to shout about thanks to Neil McCann’s defensive tactics on the pitch.

Think SD has given Ddee1980 some kind of stroke for daring to suggest booing and berating the team dosent help.

                  Sums up that forum.

                    Embarrassing.

We have some of the worst supporters going.

Sometimes you just have to admit it rather than deny it.

When our fans are good they are really good but those times are very limited these days.....yet some wud have you believe we are the 12th man, the Cox is library like and the main stand has been the home of the cantankerous old git for decades.

I'm a moaning **** ( justifiably so ) about the club/nelms but I seldom berated the team for the sake of it....county 5 zip an exception....as is stupid sending offs.

Anyway you can either leave folk to their delusions that we are a great support or like SD and some of my pals....tell it like it is.

I took ill once. It was a gradual decline so I never really noticed how bad I looked and, because she saw me every day, neither did my wife. It took one of my mates to tell me I looked like death and to go to the doctor and get checked out.

Sometimes you just have to care enough to intervene and point things out. otherwise the decline just continues.

                            Here's a question.

Top 5 best supports in Scotland.

If other clubs fans were asked would DFC feature in top 5.....I very much doubt it.

Ask the same question from mid 70s to late 80s I think we would be in most clubs top 5.

My top 5 at the moment if I take personal taste out the equation

                            1. Motherwell
                            2. St Mirren
                            3. Hibs
                            4. Falkirk
                            5. Aberdeen
