  • Killie

Concentration and commitment needed from players and fans tonight.

    Injuries haunting us a bit.

    Very hard fought 1-1

Delighted for the coach and players.

Played really well and lots of attempts at goal.

Entertained ( no that it matters to me but does to some ) great result and 10 pts clear of the btm.....on very limited resources.

Billy and Yogane have come on a ton.

4 or 5 really good performances tonight but deffo a team victory admittedly against a poor Killie side.....magic. 👍

Had the long johns on tonight , but worth it , strolled the game tonight , 26 shots looked like at least 4 cleared off the line in the first half , Hamilton, Wright, Yugane, Dhanda, Kimeteo and Ash Hay all exceptional, Hay gets the nod from me ahead of Murray , far more influential on the game , poor Simon seems to have lost his mojo this season

As much as that was much, much better lets not lose sight of the fact that Kilmarnock were absolutely terrible.

However good performances from Hamilton, Dhanda, Koumetio and Wright give us hope for the rest of the seaaon. Still need to strengthen in January because the bench wasn't good which is highlighted by the fact that Pressley still has to bring on Acquah to replace tired players or to tweak the shape.

16 points at home this season compared to Docs 19 from 33 games last season.....3 pts and 1 win behind Doc overall.....with nothing like the resource he had.

There are good things happening with Elvis.

I honestly believe there's a helluva lot of good coaching going on given the improvement in a few of the players and shape of the team.

As I keep saying the players seem to want to do well for him.

Will there be a few more sair dunts ahead....defo....but as I said after Falkirk game reasonably confident we will stay up.

Strengthen.... definitely.....we need 3 players who should be starting and a couple very much competing for starting places.

I think it will be scraps of points over January given the fixtures but it eases slightly in February.

            Mon Dondeh.

              To finish btm

              Livvy 8/13
              Killie 7/2
              Dee 9/1

Bookies a lot more confident than me as well

Can't be denied that individually players are improving and, as a team, they seem to be getting what's required of them by the manager. That definitely suggests that the coaching is working. The defending is pretty solid now, obviously errors still occur, and the players can get forward more effectively as a team. 57% possession last night, I think the first time we've had majority possession this season, kept the ball well and used it better generally but - and it's a big but, Kilmarnock are dire.

After 20 games last season we had 21 points, this season we have 19. We just about scraped out of the play off spot last season (although I thought we were easily comfortable in the end) so that doesn't show any improvement really. That said I'd be happy with your suggested three starters signing in January, experienced but still capable players. What I don't think we need more of is inexperienced development players, or as we used to call them - squad fillers. If Charlie Reilly can stay fit he'll be like a new player, had a decent game last night.

Pressley is still not for me but I'm turning and might turn a bit more if he can give us a performance against the filth. If we get the same crap we got earlier in the season it'll be back to square one and I'll be calling for him to exit the building.

Definite signs of improvement and more attacking. Home record is pretty good. Doing well against the 3 currently below us, beat them all at Dens and only lost to St Mirren away. Some crucial signings in and things will be looking much better. Great to see Charlie Reilly getting his chance and over his injuries.

                    Falkirk Killie livvy

                    Pl 6 W3 D2 L1......the one we lost we shouldn't have

Old firm 4 from 12.....above average

                    4 points from 12 v well St m....ok....cud have been 5 or 6

1 PT from 18 dabs, dons, hearts, Hibs ....is where he has underachieved and took a lot of criticism.

The season so far has basically gone as he said it wud have.

I quite like his calm considered nature....he's made a couple of daft quotes but overall I think he's very likeable......I don't have to like him though, it's the players who have to and want to perform for him as well as themselves.

Hearts and Hibs far better this season, Celtic and rangers poorer but not poor enough for us to " expect points ".....I still say with what he's had to work with, pretty much zero public backing from nelms ( maybe a good thing ) and outright hostility from a section of the support he's done well enough.

If he gets the required backing from nelms and the fans I honestly believe he can build something.

I also think he's looking far more comfortable in the job, dare I say maybe even enjoying the wins......I thought he was distant when he first started.

He will never have the charisma or relationship with the fans that Docherty or even Bowyer had but I'm not disappointed he's the man in the dugout for now.

Roy Orbison can see we?ve improved under Elvis.

Given what he was left to work with he?s outperformed Doc. It?s clear the players really take to him.

His quotes aren?t daft, he?s just honest, perhaps too honest at times.

Some ?supporters? never wanted him and will always be critical even when it?s not merited.

                          Going in the right direction.

I’ve always said he started with hands tied behind his back , Doc had a pre season tour of Poland , plus numerous friendly games before the season started with almost all his new squad except Murray who came during league cup games , what did Elvis get a game against Arbroath and Montrose with the bare bones not even one signing , league cup games used as pre season games , , saying that I never wanted him but he’s done a hellve good job to get 10th at the new year , let’s wait and see who comes in in the window ,, I’m hoping he gets us 9th at the end of the season above livi , killie and Falkirk , if he does he’ll have done brilliantly with the P1sh hand he was dealt

3 pts in January and a cup win would be a decent return.

                              Feb then offers plenty opportunity.
