In my opinion this is a typical Nelms interview with Cran being told which questions he was allowed to ask.
Nelms has previous ‘form’ in this department.
In July 2022 Dee4life Chairman Norrie Price and Dee4life Secretary Gary Cocker had a meeting with John Nelms in the club’s offices in Gardyne. At the start of the meeting Nelms stated that if Norrie and Gary asked any awkward or difficult questions the meeting would immediately end.

If the DSA asked awkward questions their cozy relationship with Nelms would be immediately terminated.

Islay, have you any thoughts as to why Nelms felt he should give an interview. I know you have great memory but why not mine it and see if you can put together a case to explain why Nelms did grant an interview?
I think he saw 2 wins on the bounce against probable bottom 6 opponents and thought here was some good news, after months of Elvis oot, Nelms oot, Campy isn't going to happen.
There is evidence that trying to support Elvis and the team is working, and those who have taken this approach do not extend that support to John Nelms.
The apathy argument is still a real worry so additional pressure to improve the non first team areas of running a football club by finding a dialogue with Dee4life and DSA is still important. More fans are crucial, and from the comments I have read elsewhere, the Nelms interview has not helped to solve anything.
Getting the fans behind our owners does not seem to be something that John Nelms can achieve via carefully controlled interviews. Full marks to Cran for playing with a straight bat.
