See the Aberdeen v Motherwell cup tie is off already and rescheduled for 18th February. If we lose to the 'tic tomorrow we'd have to wait until after that date before any chance of our league game v Motherwell getting fixed up for the next cup round. Can see this game being mid March at the earliest.

Weather has been atrocious. Worst rain for ages etc.! Can see more matches going off over the next couple of weeks. 'Luckily' for Aberdeen their next 2 home league games are both away although the first of those could be off at the Dump next week. Sort of wonder what the SPFL/SFA would have done it they had home games and ended up with several games off like we did a couple of seasons ago. Similar if United were to have a couple of more postponements. Our pitch at that time wasn't good, definitely needing work at the time, but the weather at this time a couple of years ago wasn't dissimilar to what we have got at the moment. The only difference was our pitch was playable at times during that period but we always seemed to get the 4/5 days of pissing rain in the day running up to our home fixtures when United largely had the drier run into games. I don't know what Aberdeen's pitch was like at the time. If we have multiple postponements at other clubs and they get away with it (as they should, given the ludicrous amount of rain centred on the NE of Scotland) then maybe we should ask a few questions about our treatment two years ago.

Madness that Jan/Feb is busiest time for football.

Moving our season wud be best but old firms European misadventures dictate everything.

End of Feb to November makes much more sense.

Norwegian league runs March to November but Bodo Glimt don't seem to be doing too badly in The Champions League so the Old Firm European football misadventures argument has completely collapsed.

Plus we’d maybe get a decent sky deal, with the English season finishing end of may till end of august, we’d should be able to negotiate decent deal, as we’d be their football coverage may to august

11-1 voting structure is what holds everything back.

I used to be a fairly staunch traditionalist about the football season but as I get older and joints more susceptible to the cold I'd prefer moving the season......it could even be done gradually over 3 years.

It would mean the SC final at end of November but not many downsides apart from that.

We can get bad weather anytime but it's usually Dec, Jan and Feb.

Nobody bothers trying to improve anything as they know Rantic will vote ANYTHING down that dosent suit them or give them a greater advantage.

If they did it over 3 years it would also allow clubs to prepare length of new contracts.....instead of ending June, ending December.

If you did it over a season you could have a one off tournament or LC Aug sept nov break then start league season in Feb and go from there.
