I was hoping that Hungary might show a new way of delivering centre right policies. Farage should never have accepted any far right MP's, imo. He needed the sensible labour voting worker to vote for him. These voters have realised that the current Labour politicians are way out of their depth.
Miliband will single handedly close all British manufacturing jobs because of the price of energy, and the refusal to use North Sea fossil fuels.
We also need to speak to young people to help them understand that working to earn money is not based on TikTok and getting likes!

Would like to see British Steel getting an energy deal that would be competitive and enable them to make the steel for Rolls Royce nuclear generators.

Daily Mail has some helpful tips about who to vote for if you want to stop SNP from forming yet another shambles of a government.

Basic rule is don't vote for any party that wants independence.
Pretty much agree with all of that. Wouldn't touch nationalist or greens. The independence thing would maybe not bother me so much if we were in the hands of a competent mob who could demonstrate running Scotland efficiently, and explain the plan and where the money was going to come from, believably. But that isn't the case with the weirdo greens and the useless nationalists. Not sure who I will vote for. There is no obvious choice other than to avoid the blue sheep and the greens.

Relieved to read no supporting posts for voting Green! Hoping that SNP don't vote Green with their second votes. Given the problems they caused with the crazy policies they tried to implement, I hope SNP voters give their second votes to the SNP.

Unfortunately this is never going to happen as long as the DSA committee members continue to do as they are told by Nelms.

The Scottish Family Party have some sensible policies but they will never get elected as tactical voting will stop that.
When the first Scottish Government elections were held in May 1999 voters were encouraged to use their second vote to vote for some of the minor political parties such as the Scottish Family Party. It was not a success as you could end up with political party who was nobody’s first choice ending up holding the balance of power.
I will never vote for the Scottish Greens as they are anti business and pro independence.
Maggie Chapman member of the Scottish Green Party scuppered the new large sports complex at Caird Park which was to be a joint venture between Dundee City Council and Dark Blues Property Holdings Limited by organising a Friends of Caird Park to object to several trees being demolished which scuppered the project.
This is the same Maggie Chapman who did not complain about wood pellets being imported from America to be burned in the wood fired district heating system for the Caird Park sports halls.
Maggie Chapman was elected as the Scottish Greens List MSP for Dundee and Aberdeen area in May 2021 but this time she has been demoted to second place on the Dundee and Aberdeen list for the Scottish Greens which means that she is very unlikely to be elected as a list MSP in the May 2026 Scottish Government elections.
If the joint venture large sports complex between Dundee City Council and Dark Blues Property Holdings Limited had been granted full planning permission Tim Keyes would never have purchased the 29.7 acres site of the former NCR Camperdown playing fields on 8th July 2016 costing ?1,296.000.

The Scottish Family Party have some good policies but they will never get elected thanks to people voting for the main political parties using their second list vote.
At the first Scottish Government elections in May 1999 voters were urged to use their second list vote to vote for a minority political party but it was not a success as a minority political party which was everyone’s second choice could end up holding the balance of power and pushing through some crazy and ill thought laws such as the Scottish Greens did with their Gender Recognition Bill (Tranny Bill) and their bottle recycling scheme which has cost the Scottish taxpayers hundreds of thousands of pounds.
This is because the Scottish Greens MSPs would not listen to expert advice and ploughed on with it.

Think Dundee West should vote for Michael Marra, Labour. If we could get Dundee out of being a safe SNP town we might get someone who actually cares about Dundee issues. University is a real problem still, imo, and the sooner we can get some fresh thinking in charge at Holyrood the better.

People see what other people have, own property, own nice cars, go nice holidays etc, whether through inheritance or years of hard work and saving and want the same. Political parties like the Greens and SNP are preaching to people they can have the same all they have to do is vote for them and they'll take it off these people in form of tax and give it to them which is a very dangerous road to go down.
I seen a video of Zack Polanski yesterday in a nightclub in Leeds giving some tub thumping speech about it's time to tax the millionaires, the young crowd were lapping it up.

The Greens and the SNP always speak about taxing millionaires despite these millionaires already paying taxes.
The current Labour Government have already driven away a lot of extremely wealthy people from the U.K. to live in Monaco, Switzerland and Dubai as a result of their new taxes aimed at wealthy people. However there might be a large departure from Dubai as a result of the Iranians bombing it.
Ian Blackford the previous leader of the SNP at Westminster is a millionaire.

Thanks to Tony Blair when he was Prime Minister there are now far too many Universities throughout the U.K. including Scotland a number of which are jumped up former technical colleges.

Not only a racist but a stuck up arsehole as well. Should it only be the elite who can gain access to St. Andrews, Oxford, Cambridge, Dundee etc. that get a university education and qualification? God forbid these simple skilled technicians should ever be bracketed alongside the likes of Bank Clerks.

I think the basic point is that changing the technical colleges had an affect on their ethos. They were superb at producing highly qualified graduates with very well honed technical skills. Somehow they lost their teaching skills and the country has suffered ever since. High quality vocational training was lost in a race to teach new courses. My view was that the graduates of the technical colleges were much more employable because they had skills that many industries needed.
The turn away from manufacturing didn't help, and we started on a downward path, imo.

Unfortunately, there is no political party that understands the importance of top quality vocational/technical training. You would think that Labour and SNP would be desperate to boost colleges and try to beat the attainment gap by actually teaching those who have coasted through school and achieved nothing.
