I thought that had happened years ago. I don't know if I mentioned this, I got a tax bill reminder from HMRC this year ON THE 6TH APRIL!!! The same day as they lifted the 2nd child benefit cap and raised benefits by 6.5%. It's not due and I don't do it till the end of January next year but that's the first time in my lifetime I can remember getting a reminder so early, they're ****ing desperate for the money.

It reminds me of the Winston Churchill quote. "For a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle".

Funny Mrs sunshine got one for £293 back in November.....they said they would alter tax code in April.

In Feb she got a letter stating it had to be paid by June or else.

Her tax code never altered in April.

      Smacks of desperation.

HMRC announced the other day that 80% of businesses have failed to register for the new digital tax including mine. I'm no Bobby Sands but I'll go to prison before I sign up for that.
