  • What's the two or three things you look for

When you go to the football for a season?

I see a lot of absolute drivel posted after a bad defeat and think folk just like to move the goalposts.

I look for league position 9th to 6th......anything above is seriously punching upwards.

I look for decent home form, winning more than we lose.

I HOPE for a break in cup draws to get a half decent run.

I look for a connection between manager team and fans.

I look for us to be organised and professional on the park.

After that I actually don't expect too much on the pitch.....I expect a helluva lot more off but let's no go there

I think we have had most of the above some of/most of the time this season.

I dinnae want a baby bathwater situation developing here.

I really hope Elvis is here next season.

Pretty much the same but expect total commitment at every derby and some decent football if possible.
Think we had all that with the last manager despite his record since.
For these reasons I expect it's 50/50 whether they keep the current manager or not.
Although this can't be good practice for the club.
If he goes I'm no fussed and probably the same if he stays, might learn from some of he's errors against dabs.

I think for a lot of the time we have been and think there has been a connection after a brutal first 9/10 games when I wouldn't have been surprised if he thought **** this.

I think he's a guid fit for Strachan/nelms master plan that dosent mean I agree with the plan.

Once I went back after my issue I've enjoyed this season.

Think we need to add some old pros who want to play and are not completely broken, fitness wise.
Would quite like some really grumpy fans to direct their anger at the opposition and the officials rather than our players and manager.

I like Elvis, but I feel we seem to fall back into the pattern we seen at the start of the season, I fear we might go through it again next season as we build with a new team and he has to gel them into his way of playing, I think we?re to cautious at times we always seem to go backwards before going forwards, free kicks on the half way line should be put into opposition box not back to the keeper,

Derby?s were terrible this season bar one, I?m maybe old school but to lose a Derby 3-0 and not have one yellow card speaks for its self, not asking for legs broken but a bit more aggression wouldn?t go a miss

If you stand off and don't tackle you don't get booked!!!! Shocking performance from start to finish.

YOU will be lucky to get 2 or 3 out of that list as long as JOHN NELMS is in charge.

I would like the Managing Director and his board of directors to speak directly to the Dundee FC supporters instead of the managing director giving snippets to George Cran of the Courier.
It would also be a great help if Tim Keyes who owns 91% of the Dundee FC Ltd shares via FPS and Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited told us his plans for the next few years.
Is he still in favour of the new stadium development in the former NCR Camperdown playing fields and is the cost fully funded. According to Nelms in September 2022 it was fully funded yet in May 2018 there was a shortfall in funding when it was going to cost a net amount of ?13.5 million.

If Nelms has set the same targets for Pressley as he supposedly set for Tony Docherty namely giving Docherty a top six budget for a top six finish then Pressley will be sacked at the end of this season. Pressley might beat Nelms to it as there has been talk on the forums that Pressley’s family are still living down south and Presley wants to move back south.
A season as the Dundee FC manager would help Pressley get a football manager’s job done south at a lower Football league club or National league club.

The question from Returnofrros was , Whats the two or three things you look for when you go to football for the season?

Going by your answer you have no interest on what happens on the playing side, only off field matters. Sums you up , a bitter man with an agenda. As i have told you before Nelms and what he does has you rattled and there is not one thing you can do about it, no matter how much you bleat, whinge and moan.

I think the views expressed by Islay are part of a concern for the future of our club. I'd be more inclined to listen to Islay's comments about the financial side of our football club. These financial issues affect the playing side by boosting or reducing the money that the club can spend on players.
Hope Tim Keyes realises that there might be more the club could do to encourage financial support from fans.

Islay has no idea about the financial side of the club. All he has is a reference to a Soho Green loan, the arrangements of which he is clueless, and snippets from the generally limited communications out of the club.

Remember, Islay was a bank teller not a management accountant or business consultant. He doesn't do proper research either, he makes wild assumptions based on his skewed views and searches for evidence to back those assumptions.

In all honesty, he's best ignored.

It does seem to come from a hatred of nelms,I'm fine with that.
But the concerns about interest on loans on dens are not really justified as our owners have given us no concerns whatsoever since they took over.
They cover the losses each season and I for one am grateful for that.
