Several months ago there was a mention in the Courier about the outstanding Soho Green loan with the site of the new stadium development at the former NCR Camperdown playing fields put up as security for their loan.
In my opinion taking out this loan with Soho Green was a strange move considering Tim Keyes purchased the site of the new stadium development at the former NCR Camperdown playing fields on 8th July 2016 and Nelms stated in September 2022 that the cost of the new stadium development was fully funded.
Not repaying the Soho Green loan could be Tim Keyes ‘get out of jail card’. The new stadium development at the NCR Camperdown playing fields is scrapped and the Soho Green investors on group 0004 are left holding the 29.7 acres site.
My main concern is that Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited will not repay the Soho Green loan with the Dens Park Stadium put up as security for this loan resulting in the Soho Green investors in group 0015 left owning the Dens Park Stadium which they will sell to the highest bidder leaving Dundee Football Club homeless.
Dee4life should be setting up a rainy day fund which all Dundee FC supporters should be contributing to in case the Soho Green loan is not repaid which would give the Dundee FC supporters an opportunity to purchase the Dens Park Stadium from Soho Green investors in group 0015.
