  • Missed opportunity

Thought we may have started with a stronger team last night and the way the results went definitely should have.
I get the manager wanting to give fringe players some minutes but in hindsight 7th could have been achieved.
No sure the difference in cash per place but would have been nice to try and finish as high as possible.

Tools are down across the club. And they wonder why Dundee fans don't want to buy season tickets.

Did enough for a draw, dodgy penalty.

      8th would be excellent.

Don't you think it was a missed opportunity to finish 7th and more cash for club?

Definitely a missed opportunity to finish 7th, didn't go to game but stats say it was bossed by Killie.
7 changes from 2 good victories with clean sheets.
It's not a dig at Pressley as he wanted to give players minutes but thought we would have started a stronger 11.

No didn't think we wud get 7th with games left, 8th possible now though, some rested players may come back in for last game.

To be more exact with dabs games left.

St m will prob rest most of their main men now as well

Dont get me wrong 8th will be above my initial expectation for the season, just thinking if we won last night st mirren would probably have beaten the dabs on sunday making 7th a big possibility.

It's not about excuses, I've already bought my season ticket for next season by the way. The club has downed tools in my opinion, sending out what was essentially a very weakened team against a side that were always going to be right up for it verged on a disgrace; a team that included a centre half who hasn't kicked a ball in anger for over six months and who risked serious injury on that disgrace of a pitch down there. United went down there and did similar, no effort to win the game, and Dundee fans were up in arms - were they trying to help Killie get above us so that Dundee might hit that play off place? Some Dundee fans thought so (not me by the way). Couldn't really blame anyone - Dundee or St. Mirren fans - for finding that team selection by Pressley absolutely unacceptable. Even the barely literate Radio Scotland pundits commented on it before the game.

We've used the expression professional integrity in the past when talking about things that have happened in other places and that might have had an effect on us. I see what happened yesterday as a lack of professional integrity by Dundee FC. Possible seventh place finish? Na, just lie down and help stop Killie hitting the play off.

Now, I'm off to adjust my tin foil hat because it's starting to slip and is letting some reality in.

Can you imagine the outcry from punters if Graham had played last night and got a bad injury, the manager looked at the long term last night instead of the short term, and what was best for the club.

We are best in the world for making excuses not to attend matches at dens, but this sounds like a new one.

                    Relegated by Xmas wasn?t it

Big, big IF that one. Laddie's played all season, including on that and other plastic pitches, with no problems but MIGHT have picked up an injury serious enough to drastically reduce his sell on value. Same for Drey Wright? Simon Murray? Cam Congreve has no sell on value as far as we're concerned unless he's part of a deal to take Luke to Swansea of course?

However I get your point and maybe that was the thinking. Then again maybe it wasn't. I suppose we'll get a clearer picture of intent on Saturday.

Season ticket holders who bought their briefs to see as strong a Dundee side as possible play week in week out are perfectly justified to look at an extremely weakened line up and decide not to attend this Saturday - if that turns out to be the case. Obviously as last night was away, and the manager made it very clear that there would be a weakened side out, that argument doesn't hold for that game.

Many did say we'd be relegated by Christmas and who could blame them after the close season shambles and early season performances? Massive kudos to the manager / head coach and his team for turning it around and getting it right up a lot of fans and pundits. But why blow that kudos by not reaching for everything that's possible? I just don't get it.

                          Weakened team.

I read rested players and right AHH you moaning ****s let's see you do it at Killie if you think you should be in the team.

Dundee fans want everything but give nothing.....the fire stick Pravda mob being some of the worst.

                          Deeranged.

It will take a lot for you not to buy a ticket, like me, we have our rants, don't attend every game, put other things first ( me golf ), you family I've absolutely zero problem with that .....what I do have a problem with is is a website infested with dabs and non attenders moaning about everything, demanding top 6, demanding goals, demanding entertainment all whilst sitting commentating in the hoose or just not going......they will never attend regularly again......quite frankly **** them.

Living AFF the myth that Dundee fans saved the club......they really never.

I actually sometimes get a kick oot o them being pissed off. 😃
