It's all over social media but a bit quieter on main stream. Even the English pundits are calling that penalty decision last night for what it was.

Seems only Celtic fans and the Beaton / Dallas cohort think it was actually a penalty.

Several months ago I read that Dallas is no longer able to referee a football match because of an injury so he is now the VAR official in charge of matches.
In my opinion this was a crazy decision putting an incompetent referee in charge of VAR decisions.
It could only happen in the Glasgow based SFA.
Exactly, fast tracked because of his father, who was also a sh!te referee.

Will there be a points deduction for the pitch invasion ? NO the answer will be that we are having problems in Scottish Football,
And that will be part of the investigation.
Motherwell will probably be fined for allowing it to happen.

FOR DUNDEE SUPPORTERS, IF YOU ARE STILL DREAMING OF A SCOTTISH CUP WIN,
FORGET IT UNLESS YOU HAVE THE 12TH MAN
Looking at the incident on TV it looked like the Celtic player had handled the ball not the Motherwell player who had headed the ball clear.
Doncaster, Collum, Dallas and Beaton will not be able to sweep this outrage under the carpet as it is being viewed and discussed worldwide.
Martin O?Neill is needing his eyes tested if he thinks that it was a penalty for Celtic.

We need a leader of the provincial clubs......I wonder if Tony bloom can be that man.

Rantic, Doncaster, the sfa and the officials are a cancer in our game.

There is no game without the provincial clubs, there is a game without the old firm
The remaining ten Premiership clubs apart from Rangers and Celtic should resign from the SPFL along with the clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two and set up their own breakaway leagues.
Rangers and Celtic can have their own football league and play each other every week between August and May every season.

This afternoon I heard from a retired police officer that John Beaton the referee in charge of the Motherwell v Celtic match is a Press Officer with the police in Motherwell and he is a Roman Catholic.

VAR is a mess in Scotland. The facilities to provide backup are pound land. While it might not be admitted by the SFA, the potential hassle from twins fans is bound to have an impact on referee decisions, particularly those who are live in the west. It is very unhealthy for the game in Scotland and for any SFA official to claim that it is not a factor is simply *******s. Provincial clubs are at a huge disadvantage in Scotland, without even looking at the financial chasm. We all need only look back to our own clubs game at the tatty dome in the cup. Play until Celtic score right enough. And then the penalty against Rangers early in the season.

My wife is a catholic and supports Dundee, Nigerian friend of mine is catholic and follows The The Rangers, I went to a non denominational school and half the glory hunter element at that school supported Celtic. Can you please explain exactly what John Beaton being catholic (if indeed he is) has to do with anything.

The retired police officer is a Motherwell Fc supporter and a member of the Well Trust.
It was thanks to help from him that I obtained the correct number of Motherwell FC supporters at the Dundee FC home game against Motherwell in early September 2025 when there were less than 4,000 Dundee FC supporters at the game.

He awarded the penalty against Motherwell in the last few seconds of the game last Wednesday evening which gave Celtic a win.
Had he not given Celtic a penalty and the game finished 2-2 Celtic would have to defeat Hearts 3-0 to win the league. Now Celtic only have to defeat Hearts 1-0 to win the league.
In my opinion every Scottish football referee must state which football team they support when they are appointed an SFA referee.

You are totally correct about VAR. We were cheated by Ryan Lee who let play continue in stoppage time until Celtic scored. Duncan Nicholson who was the referee in the derby against the Dabs on Sunday 15th March 2026 had a dreadful game and he did not book DAB players for dreadful tackles. Worryingly Ryan Lee and Duncan Nicholson have been appointed FIFA referees after the SFA submitted their names to FIFA to become FIFA referees.
Andrew Dallas has also been a FIFA referee. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Dallas_(referee)

But that has absolutely nothing to do with the referee's religion does it?

You really are just a bigot aren't you? Every bit as bad as any of the twin cheek supporters

Is the VAR system that is used in Scotland different from the systems used elsewhere? Seems to me that it's the quality of the images and the limited number of angles that are available that causes the problems.

6 cameras compared to god knows how many in England.

You cud have God himself on any system of VAR he or she would still favour the old firm.

Scottish football is either consciously or unconsciously CORRUPT......**** what the sfa say.
