Should stop ALL immigration now until this is sorted once and for all.

The idea of 100% inheritance tax to pay for the welfare state is being mooted again, it's almost certainly gonna increase in % or the base line lowered in this Autumn budget.

Can't see the problem. If you feel strongly enough about something going on in your country that you want to protest against it does it really matter where you protest it? Everyone has the right to protest after all - don't they? Just because this hotel is in Perth it doesn't mean someone from anywhere else in the country be it Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh or even Southampton can't attend the protest and make their voice heard and presence felt.

Going by the illegal migrant hotel protests that have been held recently in other areas of the UK it tends to be the leftist counter protesters that are bussed in rather than the concerned UK residents. They cause trouble which is then, of course, blamed on the far right even when nobody from the far right is anywhere near it.

I saw one of the Perth counter protesters being interviewed on the TV (English accent and by Eric Drysdale's method of working these things out it felt like he wasn't local to Perth) and he reckoned we should welcome any immigrant into the country that's looking to work and contribute. In all honesty I don't disagree with that unfortunately however the reality is that most of these illegals are not here to contribute they're here to sponge off the state (our state) and live the life at our expense.

I also heard over the weekend that some people are now trying to ban the flying of the St. George Cross in England as it's seen as a symbol of far right racism - couldn't make it up. It seems to be OK to fly the flag of a foreign make believe nation in public but don't you dare fly your own country's flag.

Agree. First Nation people have struggled with immigration, so why should there be a different outcome for us?

After protests at the Radisson Blu in Perth on Saturday which houses asylum seekers deputy council leader Eric Drysdale who is also Dundee FC club secretary announced protesters had been "bussed in" He doesn't say how he knows that and he hasn't provided any evidence up to back his claims but "it felt like it" And although there were no arrests and no violence his constituents "were worried about "physical violence and damage"
He said nothing about the fear of any of his constituents due to having hotels full of asylum seekers dumped in their midst in fact he never addressed their concerns at all. Perth admitted through a FOI request that they have another 3 hotels full of illegal immigrants, that fact had to be dragged from them through the FOI request and they wonder why folk have concerns about the whole thing. To be fair to him he didn't call anyone with concerns "far right"

When Fife council put their rent and council tax up earlier this year a spokesman said it hardly affected anybody because 80% of tenants don't pay their own rent anyway, who do they think pays the rent for the 80%? These are people are in charge of finance for Fife council too, it's like the free prescription argument they genuinely think it grows on trees.

SNP will win again next year because there's no viable option. Scotland never votes Tory and Labour are making such a Jim Delahunt of it in Westminster under Starmer they have absolutely zero chance.

This is probably a true reflection.
I would love it if nobody bothered,ie turnout of under say 10%
The only leaders I know are Swinney,Stammer and Mad nige.
Nae clue who runs the tories or liberals these days.
