  • Elvis interview

In courier......honest as the day is long again.

Top 6, we are playing for 1 place....so unlikely.

What I've been saying for a number of years.

Safety ain't ever gonna be achieved till last few games whatever way you cut it except in exceptional circs.

The big five so far ahead financially.

I just hope Nelms backs him and he dosent have to wait too long for signings, we don't want to sacrifice a LC run because we have to wait till mid August for loan signings.

Motherwell and Falkirk both managed top six last season so there are always opportunities when of the bigger five slip up. Aberdeen and Hibs have tendencies to do that.

However his interview is refreshingly simple and honest and will keep the fans grounded whilst the **** across the road will rave about the quality of his signings and whip the weirdos that follow them into a frenzy. They'll shout their nonsense usual about Million pound plus players all over the park and a guaranteed top six finish.

I don't think we'll be as disappointed as some will be come the end of the season with the kind of level headed comments that come from Pressley.

That year there were imo 6 teams battling for 3 spots.

        Things have changed.

Hearts have secured top 6 spot for evermore

Hibs so much stronger than even 3 years ago and Aberdeen spending again though no guarantees.

The year Doc got 6th ( very good achievement )....Killie 4th st m 5th dee 6th

If I see those 3 finishing in top 6 at same time ever again I'll be gob smacked.

It's why I rate Elvis 8th as good as Docs 6th and if he achieved 6th this season......very much doubt it......it will be greater than Docs 6th.

A decent season will be safety before last couple of games and finishing 8th or 9th....that's the reality despite what everyone would like to think.

I'd say everyone bar big 5 and st j battling for that one place......6 into 1 don't go.....but nothing wrong with aiming for that with a huge slice of realism.

I hope that we have a good start to this league season winning a decent number of games in the first eleven league games.
That would put us in a good position to finish this season in 7th or 8th place instead of the usual nerve shredding end to the league season.
