So the manager was the problem? Was that in the eyes of the players or in the eyes of Nelmsy?Originally posted by GB72 View PostNothing mate, would have been a 100 percent no if manager wasn?t punted, just heard that new manager (likely Maloney) be announced in next few days, maybe early next week, plsyers already targeted?..
I won't be getting a season ticket if Maloney gets the job.

Can?t be sure, but when you freeze one of your best players out at an incredibly crucial stage, then something not right.Originally posted by Deeranged View PostSo the manager was the problem? Was that in the eyes of the players or in the eyes of Nelmsy?

I think as usual when someone leaves dens they seem to get better, doc undoubtedly done some good stuff, but he got two years to sort out a defence and couldn?t do it, his recruiting (he was in charge of it until the Mexican deal) was average at best, having four centre halves on the bench at Hibs and one not stripped summed it up, along with having only one recognised striker.
On Maloney, who knows what he will be like, but he has managed at two bigger clubs than us, and has coached some of the best players in the world, we welcomed the assistant manager of Killie, but not the assistant of the number on country in the world at the time.
Also been sent some screenshots of the other forum, I never once used this gb72 on that forum, and was banned as Mr S a few months back, for rightly questioning the amount of Arabs that were popping up?..hopefully get some gossip and put it on here..,,,

Thank you for getting back. Interesting. Any idea why the doc didn't play Mo? Sorry, just read you post above.Didn't see it the way the phone resented the posts. Pity about the other forum.Originally posted by GB72 View PostNothing mate, would have been a 100 percent no if manager wasn?t punted, just heard that new manager (likely Maloney) be announced in next few days, maybe early next week, plsyers already targeted?..Last edited by parcbara; 21-05-2025, 11:30 AM.

Not playing Mo for the run in was a bit telling. I was calling for Docherty to go around a month ago when it didn't look good for us and knew that would have been suicide at the time. However I really thought he'd get another window after scraping through but clearly the decision had already been made that he was away regardless.Originally posted by GB72 View PostCan?t be sure, but when you freeze one of your best players out at an incredibly crucial stage, then something not right.

Not against Maloney per se, just seems like it would be another WGS jobs for the boys appointment and we've not had much success with them. I really don't have any faith in Nelmsy and WGS to get the appointment right and wonder if they're promising the Earth to their choice for the job and delivering a pile of sand. The Mexican and Burnley tie ins seem to be essential to whatever it is they're trying to do but they're delivering little.
I got the same ban from the other forum and they're all still there. I've started posting again but only the odd one or two, really not going to get worked up over it.

Sylla is an odd situation. Why make things look as thought he was available, and fit, to play and then not pick him?Originally posted by Deeranged View PostNot playing Mo for the run in was a bit telling. Are footballers so small minded that they would deliberately sabotage their team mates by trying to lose a game? I don't believe it. There must be more to the Sylla situation.
Wonder how much Burnley paid to allow us to use Adewumi for example. Is there money coming into our club from Burnley and Mexico?
Maybe WGS and John Nelms are guilty of overselling the job at Dens. Don't think we are 6th biggest team in Scotland, at least interms of results, and maybe that's the problem.
It would be interesting if football clubs had to publish their financial performance in such a way that they could be compared. Think that might actually help all clubs.

It is a pity that all SPFL clubs in Scotland are not forced to publish their full accounts on the Companies House website.Originally posted by BCram View PostSylla is an odd situation. Why make things look as thought he was available, and fit, to play and then not pick him?

Dundee United and St Johnstone have published full annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2024 whilst Dundee FC publish Filleted Annual Accounts which tell us very little.
St Johnstone directors report even mentioned former players who had died such as Benny Rooney.
In my opinion the Dundee Football Club annual accounts should publish as a minimum;
1. The total income for the year.
2. The total expenditure for the year.
3. The annual salary of the highest paid director.
In March 2022 I contacted the Club’s auditors to highlight that there were four mistakes in the Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2020 because the Dundee Football Club Limited Company Secretary had failed to notify a debt for equity transaction on 8th February 2020 to Companies House.
This resulted in the Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2021 having to be restated.
The Club’s senior auditor admitted that he should have noticed this error and restating Annual Accounts is admitting that the previous annual accounts contained mistakes.
I asked the senior auditor why Dundee Football Club do not publish full annual accounts which Dundee United publish. The Club’s senior auditor told me that it is the Dundee FC’s directors choice to only publish Filleted Annual Accounts.

I do not think that we are the 6th biggest team in Scotland because we are basing this on past glories.

Wonder if there might be a station who knows thetrue position. Suppose you added up all the league positions over a specific period say from the end of WW2. Rank all the teams in all the divisions as though they were one huge division and divide by the number of years that they were in existence. That would give an average score , which would allow a ranking to be calculated.Originally posted by islaydarkblue View PostI will probably get slaughtered for this post.
