I think most folk agree Carson is a better goalie and calming influence than mccraken.
I don't think McCracken is bad he's just not as good as Carson.
Anybody else wonder if Elvis was under pressure to pick McCracken as number 1 as we would be trying to sell him this year.

When you think of the big players from last derby.....McGhee, big shuggy, Carson, Murray, Cameron and mulligan.....we only had Murray in the team......Carson would have been a steadying influence
Only other thing is 3 artificial surfaces may have been a deciding factor.
