Too early to say, imo. Second half Motherwell was an obvious step forward. IN.

He should have never been appointed in the first place.
          Out.

Any chance that there is a position in the league that would allow you to admit you were wrong and accept him as the real deal? For me, if we ended up 5th or 6th I think any fair minded person would agree that would be a successful season.

Manager is almost irrelevant as is league position.......it's the regime.

What's the project that all the staff and new players are "excited" about but the fans haven't been told?

              10th after 6th is relatively successful....an average 8th place.

You can finish 10th rather than 5th on a cple of VAR decisions......I don't think any manager should be judged on that......but Nelms should be judged.......****ing guilty

Elvis was hired to take players to a higher level. You see stats where clubs sell their players for lots of dosh. That is supposed to be the new way forward. Encourage good pro players to come to us because we will help them to develop as players. John Nelms seems to have realised that making money to pay the bills means selling players for higher sums than we have achieved.
If all we can hope for is the OF picking off our best players for buttons, then that's not a good plan.
If we could persuade good players to come and play for us with the realistic hope that they could get a move to better paying clubs in England or the continent because they have improved their tactical awareness and or the technique we should make a lot more money on the sale. Elvis and his team might be able to get us playing better football and end the scramble every transfer window trying to replace the players who have left for little cash.
That is what Nelms would have said if I'd been charge of communications!😁

I attended the home game against United on Sunday 31st August 2025 and it was purgatory watching the Dundee players playing to Pressley?s tactics and instructions.
I gave the Motherwell game a miss and I have not bothered buying a ticket for tomorrow?s Livingston game.
We maybe lost a lot of goals last season but at least the Dundee FC players played entertaining football with the likelihood of us scoring plenty of goals.
With Pressley as manager we will have to suffer boring, negative and defensive football played by the Dundee players as long as Pressley remains as manager until Gordon Strachan tells Nelms to sack him as the number of Dundee FC supporters attending home games at Dens Park continues to fall with the number of people purchasing Hospitality packages also falling.
The actual number of Dundee FC supporters who attended last Saturday?s home game against Motherwell should have been a ?wake up? call for Nelms.

How is Pressley going to take Dundee players to a higher level.
Pressley was in charge of the Development team at Brentford which is on a par with the Dundee FC youth team.
Brentford have a first team, a B team and a development team with any suitable development players progressing to the Brentford B team.
James McPake was in charge of the Dundee FC youth team before Nelms promoted McPake to manager of the first team and we all know how that worked out!

I was trying to answer Rross.

What's the project that all the staff and new players are ....

It was meant as a light hearted response, and not aimed at you. Will just have to wait a bit to see how things work out. United beat Aberdeen and we beat Livi, things look a bit better.

Think you miss the point of why I'm so disconnected bcram.....it ain't the manager, it's not results, it's the club......the way it treats fans, the way it interacts with fans, the everything will be great when we build the retail park line......sorry but it's just went on too long now, folk have walked.

Islay seems to be even more bitter now than he ever has been - and by **** he's always been pretty bitter.

I hope he's on blood pressure tablets.

Think it's helpful to have your point of view expressed. I wonder if there might be more who agree with you. It is a long time since I counted the number of vacant seats in the individual stands to try to find out what appears to be our season ticket holder numbers.
There also might be less grumpiness in the Mainer than in the SE or the Bobby Cox stands.

I am not sure that Celtic fan power was a great benefit to them in the early days of their Fergus McCann period, which is why I wish our Board would listen to the criticisms coming from forums.
