Spain definitely look a better side but the luck that the English are carrying might just be enough if they can keep the Spaniards at bay long enough. You make your own luck mind and England's determination and refusal to admit defeat is bringing that luck and might be the difference.

My gut feeling now is England to win it.

Spain look a bit vulnerable to power but I think England shoogilee enuf at the back for Spain to capitalise, dinnae think I'll be backing them at 8/11, corners and bookings probably way to go ...England no shy at putting boot in and Spain aggressively press so get few bookings thru persistent fouling and jersey pulls.

Ingerland outplayed for about the fourth time in the tournament but get it together for the penalties this time. Lucky barstewards. And once again the standard of football was bloody awful. England poor all round, Spain couldn?t finish and made an arse of the pens. But it?ll be MBEs, CBEs Damehoods all round. The wummin commentators and pundits are even more biased than their male equivalents. Best comment ?we?ve been outplayed but we deserve our win? 🤷*♂️

Aye. She couldn't hit a barn door. As for the penalties some of the successful ones were simply down to the keeper diving the wrong way. They were nearer the centre of the goal than the side net apart from the big Spaniard's past the post effort. The one that gets me, in all forms of football, is the straight down the middle effort that if the keeper stands still it would but him in the body/head. Pundits et al make them out to be great efforts.

It's not the lassies themselves that bug me but the commentators and pundits making out that the simplest move, pass or interception is world class stuff. A defender was right in front of one of the Spanish players. The Spaniard make a complete mess of trying to pass to a colleague simply hitting it straight at the English girl who knew nothing about it, couldn't get out of the way if she tried but all we got was superb interception, great reading of the game etc. That is the standard of commentating/punditry that pisses me off and to be fair you hear it at times in the men's game too.
