Sorry, might not fit the narrative, but soft as it is, that's a penalty 9/10 in the modern game, if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd be screaming for a pen and raging if we didn't get it. Surprised the handball didn't get looked at, but I also don't think it's a pen. We just had to keep the ball in the corner last, simple pass too, don't know if tiredness or lack of communication, but we absolutely gift then possession, and we don't do well enough winning a couple headers in our box at the end, and its naive/bad/unluck by Ferry, but he has to be aware of players around him. I thought keeper should have done better for for the first goal, punched when he could have caught, fair enough got some distance, but from the shot, good as it is, its miles out and I just think he has to do better with his dive. Got away with a calamity too early second half.

These hard luck stories are wearing thin, we need wins, just seems to be groundhog day at moment of, competing well against the better teams but not having enough to see it through, and then playing poor most other games.

The handball is a f*cking penalty all day long, dont know what angle you were watching from. Do you honestly think thats not given at the other end? Theirs is never a penalty either he initiated the contact and threw himself to the floor,f*cking disgrace! I agree the ball should not have been anywhere near our box with 8 seconds to go though.

Yes we did. One player running towards the box without looking , hoping for a cross maybe? Schoolboy futba... get it in to the corner at that time oh the match, and sit on the fcukin' ba if you have to. Really can't believe pro players don't know how to do this.

And.. don't get me started on that (ahem) defence..

Again it feels like you watched a different game to everyone else. The defence played pretty well on the whole, lots of blocks and clearances. Dave did well again. We should have been awarded a penalty for the handball and had an opportunity to go 2 goals in front. We were cheated yet again.

Apart from the clear and constant cheating they team in general fought well and showed they can complete. But short spells is not good enough there has to be a more concerted effort. Pressing high was good but it has to be orchestrated and not then run back into the shells.

Goalkeeping coach needed next season. The constant punching does not breed confidence in the back line. Richards played well overall, but had he held the shot then the goal wouldnt have followed.

Pro active changes from JG for a change. But is need to see lots more genuine work from Moller.

All season we've been conceding a couple of goals per game so your aren't going to win many games with that going on.
              It's hard to watch.

Having just seen it, I actually don't think it was a penalty. The guys arms were in a natural position so no intent can be inferred. Perhaps they are referring to mistakes being mage early season with things like this.

This is a great assessment. Not winning the game was nothing to do with officials and all to do with our own frailties.

Overall a point is better than none, although we should have secured the win; all the penalty calls or not were dubious, but this is where VAR has put us.

The Rangers passing accuracy was much better than ours and we must stop sitting back once we have gone in front, you must go for the jugular and that Rangers side despite their attempts on goal were there for the taking and we should have prevented them from playing and not allowed them to play. FFS Connor Barron was made to look half decent!

We have good potential front four from Fatah/Dolcek/Traps, Moller/Watters and Sapsford; but perhaps a football coach can tell me why the 3 wingers are always played on the opposite wing to their natural strong foot? Head scratcher for me? It just means you get a sh*t cross or winger has to cut in, slowing play.

Overall a bit deflated, but we are still in there!

Can?t argue with any of that sir.

I still expect United to be a top 6 candidate this season, you have the players and Jim goodtim is a decent manager.

See if we don't get Craig Gordon on loan in January any chance we can see if Sieb Dykstra knows any keepers that can come and catch a ball? It might be the fashionable thing to punch a ball these days but I'd rather have a keeper catch a ball when it can be caught.

"Everyone" ? Can you vouch for that?

For obvious reasons you weren't sitting anywhere near me at Tannadice to hear the numerous comments on our defence.

You get a bigger picture when sitting in the stands, not just what the camera is focusing on, on your Firestick. Watching giants get beat in the air, outpaced on the deck and not sure where they should be positioned in given situations can be pretty infuriating.

"Lots of blocks and clearances" means lots of shots and chances on our goal. Whatever happened to our common "clean sheet"?

And, did Dave do well? He had some good saves, I'll give you that, but whats we the punchin' thing? I thought we had "rested" that?

Losing more than one goal in any match makes it VERY hard to win, and we seem to be doing that frequently, which should really set alarm bells ringing.

A wee tweak required in that back line (IMO) obviously.

1st time ive seen their pen on the telly and i tend to agree, i think we'd be screaming for a pen if it was us but i disagree with you on our shout for the handball and the ref/VAR should have gave a pen but i honestly don't know what a penalty is nowadays!......and again i agree about us not keeping the ball in the corner just before their penalty incident but although it wasn't a great ball Dolcek just gave it up and couldn't be arsed trying to get back and try and defend behind the ball, he just didn't care and i now see where a good number of our support say he's got an attitude problem.....i was fuming at the time.

I think that's the bigger issue, nobody knows what a handball is any more, I think the rangers defender has his hands down by his side, I'd be furious if that was given against us, and don't want those types of penalties awarded (of course I'm claiming it), but we all know that you can have exactly the same scenario next week and it will be awarded somewhere else in another match.

I wish they'd just do away with var and keep it for offsides and goal line. Our refs are pretty atrocious and it's just adding an extra layer of subjectivity for them to mess up, and puts more pressure on them to crumble.

Re our defence, thought it was more good than bad with one or two bombscare moments thrown in too.
Too often we're letting opponents get the second contact when the ball is bouncing around. After you Claude.

Oh an we got away with it but what was KK thinking when he went across the halfway line and the Sevco boy ran at him? Space in behind completely undefended. Doesn't make the tackle and get the ball, doesn't smash the guy either. Lad skins him but luckily messes it up and we survive.

                                You have one job. Defend.
