And now I've calmed down a little, it's performances like yesterday (and Killie - twice, Motherwell, Falkirk, Livi - home, St Mirren) that make me say it's hard work supporting United at the moment. Particularly at Tannadice for some strange reason.

That entire show was an absolute shyte show at every level.

JG makes the same basic errors every week and insanity is the word to use.

Too many players simply underperform or are maybe just above their skill level.

The defense is sooooo pedestrian and look like the dont give a shyte

So many changes every match that it looks like 11 strangers.

Frustrating as f**k!

I have observed the growing calls for Goodwin to go and generally feeling that would be a bit hasty. Surely a bit entitled of us to sack a manager while sitting mid table?

I'm starting to change my mind though. This utter bloody minded, pig headed stubborn refusal to change things up and an insistence that his formation will work, even when it's clearly not and it's losing us games, is starting to frustrate the hell out of me.

Are Iovu and Esselink really that bad, or do they just not work in back three?

We have played the top three in the league fairly recently (Hearts, Rangers and Celtic) taken 5 points and it could have been more. Even more recently we had a run of four games against teams above us in the league (Motherwell, Celtic, Hibs, Aberdeen) and unbeaten, we took 6 points. But whenever we come up against a team below us in the luge at home, we are utterly useless. We don't show up for the first half and go in at half time trailing and lucky not to be further behind. Think, Kilmarnock, Livi, Falkirk and now Dundee. Even the St Mirren game that we eventually won 3-1 was awful for the first half as we handed them the lead.

What's really annoying is that we know we have a squad who can go out and play positively and attack teams (think Hibs at Easter Road, first derby at Dens, Livi away) but Jim is just not setting them out that way and as a result, we are throwing away a huge number points.

Russel Martin at Rangers tried sticking stubbornly to a formation that didn't work and it failed spectacularly. Nancy is trying it at Celtic and it's proving to be a disaster. We're not quite as bad as those two yet but Jim has got to acknowledge that this formation with these players is not working and try something else.

If he starts the next home game with the same tactics, players and formation and it doesn't work then I will be joining the ever louder group calling for him to leave.

I don't get it with his comments during the week. Talking up another keeper without getting him and down playing the chance of us seeing any further signings.....is the owner putting his wallet away again and JG is highlighting it?
He clearly has a formation and a plan....but doesn't have all the players yet to make it work. Is he highlighting that it doesn't work to try and lever some money outta the owner or is he just being stubborn and sticking with a formation that will see us survive in this league but only just?
Either way, the product on the park is poor and the fans are sick of watching us do the same thing again and again...hoping that the outcome would be different.
Yesterday, I think he would have sat on a 1-0 lead if we scored first...or tried to snatch a 1-1 draw if they scored first. At no point did we look like we wanted to put on a strong performance and score a few goals.
We are stuck with biege football once again and asking fans to watch that week in and week out is a big ask.
If we don't get the obvious reinforcements in during this window...then Ogren needs removed IMO.

Certainly been more of an improvement in Iovu than the others. He should be fighting it out with SCH as a right sided centre-half in a flat back four. Like Graham and KK should be fighting for the left sided centre-half in a flat back four. But no, Goodwin is playing a back three with us overrun in central midfield. For that occurring theme he needs emptied come the end of the season.

Lovu has been ok defensively the past few weeks but as an attacking outlet coming out the back, especially at home, you struggle to build out quick, easy for opposition to turn over possessions.

Im more annoyed at Goodwin not changing his line up tactics mid match, than actually picking it. We had so many escapes it was clear he needed to change easeliink or go to a 4-3-3. It was as though he was just hoped to get to HT, but negligent really. Exactly the same against Celtic, we should have been buried by HT, easeliink-svjel change in that match should have been made in the first half

Far too many dreadful performances this season, even during games, just recently first half v Aberdeen and Celtic, match yesterday. At least against the sheep the defence functioned. Absolutely no part of the team worked yesterday.
