Connecting both quotes, I am sure time consuming with initial foundation. But the concept could be adapted to make it more like tent pitching? Overall result would or should be a playable pitch and less time consuming trying to drain, sand etc. the surface. Interesting video

I think the only expert regarding our pitch is ROMA84 because if memory serves me correctly he used to work on it.

Don?t think anybody is claiming to be a ?pitch expert,? just trying to offer what seem plausible solutions that might alleviate the weather affecting the surface; which could in time and if cost effective brought into play. Albeit on a smaller scale I am sure Wimbledon used to have court covers pre roof!

ROM84 obviously knoews better with his experience of pitch management, which I bow to.

                  Starting line-up on Tuesday:

                  ----------------AMB---------------

                  Luca-----Iovu------Graham------Ferry

                  ----------Sevelj------Ayebi-------

                  Traps---------Camara----------Fatah

                  ---------------Dolcek-------------

One can only dream of that line-up.

Ok, is quiet, but i would like a side of terrors to actually turn up for 99 minutes tonight.

Let?s hope that it doesn?t last for 100 minutes then - otherwise we?ll no doubt be blowing even more points.

If we are hoping we will learn a lesson from sitting back for the last 10 minutes against Killie on Saturday, a reminder we sat back for 75 minutes against a poor Aberdeen team last time we played them and invited them to keep attacking us when they were there for the taking. That was a choice JG made. And of course we didn't hold out. And we are the only team this year to take a hammering off Celtic because we didn't bother attacking and let them have wave after wave of attacks.

We are just not good enough to sit and absorb. We have been conceding goals all season. The difference early on was we were also scoring goals, playing more expansive football. Its hard to remember we were actually getting a lot of plaudits early on in the season. But because of defensive woes JG shat it and ended up with the worst of both worlds playing more defensively but still the mistakes a the back.

The Killie game shown the 2 sides of United. One where we can attack and be on the front foot and produces results and the sitting deep nightmare where we inevitably concede. I am still on the fence with JG but if he went in to next season being tactically defensive again I will be the first to say GTF. Cant remember going in to a 'new firm' derby so apathetic about it. Our season could have been so much more enjoyable but JG tactically ruined it. Dolcek on fire then anonymous was down to JG changing the way we play. End of rant.

                          100% correct.

Would just add that whereas before I was getting frustrated watching us giving the ball away for 90 minutes now I find myself getting angry with it 🙁

Is Traps playing on the right of the three tonight? Can't be shifting Fatah over after his goal the other day. No partnerships have been given enough time to build this season imo.

It depends on if you want your wide players to skin a fullback etc. or get as high up the park as possible and whip in a great cross with their favoured foot. Or.... play on the wrong side , where they cannae cross the road, and if sent there, the danger will be well limited. But ... if the defender for whatever reason allows him to go inside to the fav fut..the story can be completely different. (as we have witnessed)

Camara shot was good but I'm saying the pass from Sevelj to pick out Ferry was great vision, Ferry though was disappointing with it, ffs. Sevelj was also unlucky not to get a touch on Traps freekick. Can Traps ever go out on the right or is it strictly forbidden?
