This.Originally posted by JamesMcClean View PostWell thank phuck for that. Still paper and cracks given the defending from middle to back on the goals conceded, but phuck it a win’s a win. Finally.
See Keresztes did it again and very lucky not to concede from it. Thinks he's Beckenbauer and dribbles out then gets robbed. Needs told.
Showed character and dig as a group though and a much needed 3 points.

I'm not sure whether you mean fans reaction in general or mine earlier on, if it's mine you're talking about then I completely fail to understand how me swearing on here makes a blind bit of difference to the result. I rarely post during a game these days as I know I tend to get a bit over the top,I turned the game off after the first goal in order to preserve my health. But any pressure on Goodwin or the team is absolutely their own doing. I can't remember ever watching a professional team defend as poorly as we do, wtaf is he doing about it? Nothing from where I'm looking. This result will paper over the cracks, but it won't be long before we lose again if we need to score 3 times every time we want to win a game.Originally posted by shedka View PostHe's made the change now with Sevelj on (who btw we've missed massively since the end of December)
Still no point changing manager in our second season back
We need to think a bit longer, we can't be reactive about this during games either
Whatever happens today we have a home cup tie to come on Tues then a big league game the Saturday
This is a tough fixture on plastic regardless of form
They rested their better players mid week against the fun

Well done United on getting the win and three points. However I'm seemingly a doom merchant. No what the truth is, I'll say it as I see it.
The defending from KK & Iovu leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe if they played in a flat back four they would do better. On KK talking in the press and saying he has had interest from bigger clubs, go and take up an offer with one them. I prefer defenders to do their talking on the pitch and not to the tabloids.
Goodwin on his continual insistence of 343 is a problem of his own doing. We have won six games in the league and we are in the middle of February. We've have drawn a lot of games we might have won. Might have won being key, any other manager would have switched formation to collect all three points in those games.
Anyway having a lot of games in short amount of time I hope he does a Houston. That way he might get the fans coming back. I'll leave the crowd counting to a certain poster who seems to be blinkered still. I have no problem with that as we are all entitled to our own opinions.

Poor defending for the goals we lost...think we got a bit lucky with the VAR...a lot of the same faults that have cost us so many points this season.....BUT....a win is a win and I'll take that any day off the week! delighted for the fans that sat out in that baltic weather. Hopefully we can build on that win. A valuable 3 pts!

I?ll take the win and I am sure our luck with VAR is long overdue, given some of the VAR decisions that have gone against us, this season.Originally posted by weegiearab View PostPoor defending for the goals we lost...think we got a bit lucky with the VAR...a lot of the same faults that have cost us so many points this season.....BUT....a win is a win and I'll take that any day off the week! delighted for the fans that sat out in that baltic weather. I don't think it was that lucky, saw the highlights and it was the a red for me, you can see from the behind the goal view Watters would have got through and got a shot away, no way Neilson was getting back in time, Watters is explosive over a short space and if not impeded was away

I refer to it being lucky, as you never know which decision you'll get with these bunch of incompetent officials; another VAR may have not intervened and equally another ref may have brandished a straight RED.Originally posted by shedka View PostI don't think it was that lucky, saw the highlights and it was the a red for me, you can see from the behind the goal view Watters would have got through and got a shot away, no way Neilson was getting back in time, Watters is explosive over a short space and if not impeded was away
For me it was a RED also, irrespective of the goal scoring opportunity, as Watters was pole axed at least at thigh height and deliberately. Whereas we have seen Gollum try to explain a Celtic players shin high (out of control) tackle on Ferry, justifying yellow and no VAR intervention; and conversely a VAR intervene to get Fatah sent off for a split second miss of the ball against Hearts, which justified a yellow at most.
Its a damn lottery and therefore 'lucky' in that respect.
