I see Alec Cleland is back at United as youth coach. Never mind the youths get him working the fullbacks and central defenders into a strong unit. One of the best right-backs I've seen play for United. Got up and down that right hand flank. Unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty in the 94 cup final against deadco.

Reading the article about his role can't help but wonder that what made players good years ago was reserve team football played at the actual stadium with paying fans. You gave them encouragement and they played with players on the fringes of the first team and players getting match fit coming back from injury, none of this u19 bs with a few over age players.

Time for a centre-half to do a John Clark role in the derby?

JG did mention that this was going to be the hardest pre-season that some of our players have ever had. Hope that isn't backfiring on us.

Wee Jim had us the fittest team in the league/Europe . Never had this amount of injuries.

I saw that. Strain hopefully now back up for the season given how we've strengthened. Thinking about it we've gone to a whole new level as a club.

Jim Goodwin has done a fantastic job building this squad from the square root of f*ck all whilst the sheep spent millions!

He makes a very valid point,we must be one of the worst club's in world football for keeping fans updated on player injuries.Thank phuck Jim got shot of Docherty as he was a stand alone soap opera who educated the fan base on almost every type of injury known to man.I am sick of posters on here telling me who missed training or got injured at training rather than being updated by the club,its very very frustrating.
