All about planning for next season now for me

We need to get some good momentum going in the remaining fixtures we can take forward

We should only be playing players that we are considering / judging for next season or that are staying with us.

Priorities to sign for me are an experienced centre half and a top goalkeeper

AMB not made the grade as No 1 yet but can see how he develops before season end
    Dave R - fine as No 2
R Adams - club seem to think he?s not ready yet

Strain - I would re- sign. Underrated, good defensively and with crossing.
    Ferry - I expect sold
    Ferrigia - not convinced yet

The centre halves - Ross G will be good but not suited to be captain. SCH I like. Iovu improved
    Need someone else

Centre midfield - Strong but we will need to replace Sevelj if he goes

Up front - if we sign the two from a- league we might be well covered.

Plenty to do and we want to see something decent working on for next season

I?d like to see likes of Stirton given some time to see what he can do

We know Goodwin can be ruthless which is a positive. With the nucleus we have with Pan and Manny in midfield I feel we could build something to hit ground running next season

Obviously goes without saying the likes of Sibbald who have shown loyalty elsewhere should not play again this season - decent player in his time when not injured but I wouldn?t even let him in the training ground now

I would have said that Sibbald would be professional enough to give his all on the pitch.....however, this has shown that he ain't all that professional!
Maybe the club should just look at sacking him as I don't see why we should be wasting money on his wages if he isn't playing.

It?s a good idea to get rid of him. Maybe we would have to pay Sibbald off and he could go and be cheerleading Falkirk for rest of season

On wider point I don?t think we need to worry about replacing him - Sevelj will be bigger loss if he is away next season

        I think priorities are:

        1. Goalkeeper
        2 central defender
        3. Replacing Fatah. We are going to need another match winner with creativity

Get rid of two Aussies in MB and Strain. Hopefully the new Aussies will be better at football than having them playing the didgeridoos. Richards released with KK heading back to his club. I'd give Dolcek a deal on the proviso that he is played upfront with no defensive responsibilities. His main objective is to create, score for the team and hold the ball up.

There's absolutely no reason why Dolcek shouldn't also have a responsibility to help his teammates out defensively. I watched PSG dismantle Chelsea last night and the boy Barcola scored a cracker and could have had a couple more, but it didn't stop him getting blocks and defensive headers in too. I'm not a Goodwin fan as most people are aware, but if the boy is too bloody lazy to be a team player then he can rightly f*ck off.

Rumours are that the club are wanting to sign up KK

When he has been brought on recently Dolcek has been really ineffectual and missed chances. Frustrating as he came in with some great goals

I think Strain is good. He makes some good crosses and assists. Got us the pen last season when we beat Aberdeen on the last day

Totally agree with this, something no right there and we shouldn't tolerate that kind of thing.

Very good discussion of next season on the Dode Fox podcast

I hadn?t realised we have another year option on Sevelj which is very good news

Basically we have 14 signed up atm so will be needing another 6-10 maybe ?!

Would be good to see some more youngsters join the first team squad too like R Adams, Charlie Dewar and Scotty Constable

My point maybe not made well in the previous post is you give him that freedom and he does well in it, he'll have the motivation to get back and do his defensive duties. The cup game at Falkirk was piss poor more that the fact Goodwin didn't take off KK and play Dolcek on the left and we went out on a whimper.

Personally I don't think we should have space for passengers that play like Dolcek. If he was guaranteed a goal when he played I'd feel different but that's just not the case.

The best players work their socks off, look at Andy Robertson.

I’m a Dolcek fan also, like most he has elements in his game that needs improvement and can be equally as effective as Fatah, if given the chance. Yes his form dipped and possibly his attitude may not have resonated with JG. Equally I don’t think JG has played him in his best position with his 3-4-3 insistence. With Fatah likely gone, Traps injured for several months, and possibly gone thereafter, I would be giving him a one year deal. We will have no other true wingers other than Randall otherwise who will likely need time to settle. Vicko being a fellow countryman (if he stays), may prove helpful if Dolcek stays.

He wasn't a passenger in as much as he was scoring goals and very effective in the final 3rd. The way JG adjusted how we play to being more cautious after the more exciting and expansive way he started the season didn't suit a player like Dolcek. Together with JG trying to change Dolcek to do more tracking back and the ugly bit the game more basically resulted in him being nullified as a threat.

Celtic have a similar type player Nygren who gets criticised for not working hard enough and a bit lightweight in midfield bit he gets a game every week because he is their top scorer with 20 goals this season which is probably a decent trade off for what he is lacking in other aspects of his game.

I would be surprised given JG hardly plays him Dolcek still being at United next season. The days of lets get a deal done for this player who was on fire seem a distant memory now. Will always feel we had a player on our hands that ultimately failed to utilise properly.

Sorry but Dolcek is the reason for this not JG, he's lazy as fk

He epitomised it against Rangers at Tannadice in December, we'd have won the game oif he'd have showed a bit more interest in his twenty minute cameo

Very good player on his day which is the frustration as we all wanted him signed early on
