Yip... 12 months after tomorrow, then the next day, then the next day etc etc. Every day Jim and the club have a 12 months contract, unless they agree to change it by mutual agreement. Glad it happened. Maybe would have preferred a 2 year one, with a years option for more stability, but all considered, a reasonable deal.

Glad Goodwin has got his new deal, well deserved. Much prefer listening to him than say Tam Courts or Liam Fox. Also a manager who puts round pegs in round holes reaps the rewards of what's worked in the past and dealing with the basics.
All the new signings have been brought in with little or no outlay. The club is signing players within the wage structure. No daft signings like Tony Watt who on his outlay was never worth what he got. We've signed players with hunger, determination and good character.
Luigi has been a big part in this transition and he must be given a mention. Gone about his work quietly and by doing this, it is more recognised than the former SD who wanted the attention but nowhere near as good. Go figure.

Got to also mention Jim's son, Ross... (kiddin')
He has done an outstanding job using whatever they call it these days to target players that will fit in to our required system. Whatever he is looking at to target a United player , is working big time.
All in all, things in every department seem to be linking up, and working well. It may not last forever, but... hey.. it could be a LOT worse.

He ran the A90 bus from Aberdeen and was once chairman of the FED,he just never missed a match home or away.I believe he was at our B team game at Cove on Saturday before he left us.There was an occasion where his bus broke down in the middle of nowhere on the way to an away game.Originally posted by Arabdownsouth View PostDidn't know the fella, but R.I.P. As far as i am aware everyone just gave up on the game because of the logistics but he had not missed a game for decades and still managed to attend. There is no doubt whatsoever that Dundee United lost their most loyal fan on Saturday,FACT.

Genuinely sorry to hear this mate, we all bleed tangerine. A big loss indeed, I hope there will be some kind of tribute from the club being organised. It would be nice if we could be honouring him with an away victory on Saturday.Originally posted by GUNBOAT View PostHe ran the A90 bus from Aberdeen and was once chairman of the FED,he just never missed a match home or away.I believe he was at our B team game at Cove on Saturday before he left us.There was an occasion where his bus broke down in the middle of nowhere on the way to an away game.
