Now to sign an older experienced keeper on a one year deal to do a Steve Banks role.

I am not overly convinced by Walton. He was shaky the last time he was with us and the PNE fans seem pretty happy he is away. Seems that he has had a dip in confidence and struggled. Hopefully, we will be the clean slate that he needs and he kicks on. He 100% needs a commanding CB in front of him to steady his nerves as our defence will shatter him with their brain farts!

He played 3 games for Preston, hardly fair their fans judging him on that really, I bet he didn't score three own goals though. Our defence was a whole lot better with him behind them, albeit this seasons defence would destroy his career I'm sure 🫤

We had 2 good seasons with him between the sticks, he's obviously got some love for United too. I'd much rather have him back than another Kucherenko/Birighitti experiment.

Incidentally I've just had to edit his wiki page as they had him returning to the fun not us 😖

Not the best kicker of a dead ball , but neither was Jim Leighton. Maybe doesn't catch every high ball into our 6-yard box, but punches them clear with distance telling our defence what he is doing "KEEEEEPERS" Also talks to the (ahem) defence all game.

Yeah, happy enough with Jack back. Hopefully, he gets proper cover.

              "three own goals"

I'd nearly shut that out my memory.

Ok maybe he was a tad unlucky with the one that came back off the post, hit him and then went in 🤣. But there was also the one where he let the attacker head in on the f*cking goal line 😣

I'll bet some keepers go their whole career without that many own goals. Some guy on tek ( bit of a roaster mind) says that Kucherenko just won Goalie of the year in the Greek superleague, I find that absolutely incredible and the only thing I can think is that all the other keepers are about 4'6" and wearing bifocals

Gordon Marshall leaving the fermers and going to Hearts, supposedly. Paul Gallacher to United anyone? See Dave Richards to the Sheep, coached by Hinchcliffe..................

It appears that Dylan Tait is a done deal.

Official. Good signing. Strengthens our midfield. Let?s get the defence sorted.

Good to see Walton back too but when he was here last time he had Gallagher holt and Graham winning everything in the box so didn?t have to worry about coming for the ball

Love JGs recruitment overall since he joined, never going be spot on but gets it right more often than not, mostly right when it comes to letting players go at the right times

January was a good window with the additions of Agyei and Farrugia

It's looking like solid business upto now in the summer, Walton isn't amazing but he's very decent and has he been here this season past then what a difference it would have been, back to back top 6 finishes at promotion definitely

We will still need a good 5-8 more, the sheep and his will probably hoover up some of our targets at times with the wages they offer these days though

I see Trevor Carson is leaving Dundee; solves a solution of having a good solid 2nd goalie and possible goal keeping coach. I always thought he was pretty decent, albeit not given enough opportunity.

I know what you are saying but he never seems to get an opportunity wherever he goes. Makes me wonder...

Now that Richards has departed the club who is going to be the competition for Walton next season?............. Hladky who I believe was at St Mirren with Goodwin might be available on a free but I reckon he'll stay where he is or get another club down south. Had a fair few good Polish keepers and Rafal Gikiewicz would be a good continuation of Zaluska, Szamatulski and Rado. Or is it an English keeper in the mould of Stevie Banks who was brilliant for us?
