  • The ex-Utd player thread.

Separate thread to keep track of our former players. A similar one is massively popular on EF. So, to kick things off....

Looks like CCFFS is about to sign for St. Johnstone after impressing in a trial. Will be great to see him back in Scottish football, albeit sad to see him playing for a rival.

    A double-scoring cup winning legend. 🧡🖤

        Aye, the hairdresser. 😂

Superb example for young footballers these days. Great attitude, clearly trained like a beast & was fully committed. Him & Dixon down that left hand side were phenomenal. The amount of fouls he drew as well and what a delivery! Our left hand side hasn't been as good since.

I used to work with Iain Philip after he retired from football, he joined in at works fives and would be too good for us young ones, great football brain never lost it

I will never forget the day i was playing on Riverside 6 and the legend Hamish McAlpine was in a game on the next pitch. What always sticks in my mind is he was in the number 9 shirt. .I kid you not.

Paton & Erskine join East Kilbride in the 5th tier of Scottish football. 😳

Uncertain times and ambitious clubs in the lower reaches are factors as players look outside the established league structure.

I read the other day souttar has had a relapse of his Achilles injury, that’s a lot of serious injuries already, becoming the story of his career unfortunately

That's tough on him, he's a brilliant lad too. Looked up brother Harry there, he played 34 times for Fleetwood last season on loan from Stoke City. So he's doing ok. Two caps (& 2 goals) for the full Australian national side as well. Mrs Souttar's Australian.
