  • Saw a comment from a funster on about Utd fans with car windows down playing songs after game yesterday

This from the support that deliberately go for a drive after Utd euro game tooting and shouting at Utd fans walking home from said game

        • They have a new belter on their forum, his latest deelusional take

I think many supporters will claim that the local paper is biased against their team but I would argue that we have a very strong case here. There has been little to no coverage of United likely defrauding the taxpayer to the tune of ?600, 000. Yet we are getting negative and gloating articles concerning our desire for a new ground and new training facilities. When we won the derbies last season, there wasn't nearly the same level of coverage of our victories over them as has been seen over the last few days regarding their victory against us. Similarly, whenever we have a financial statement reporting debts, even if the debts will be getting covered by Tim Keyes anyway, we will have a ton of articles written about us emphasising heavily the debts. United have had debts in recent years yet nothing is ever mentioned in the paper regarding their financial state or it only gets cursory attention.

And to go back to my previous point, why is it that DC Thomsons only ever seems to interviews the opponents of the new training facilities and new ground proposals yet nobody ever seems to be contacted for the club's point of view? That is one of the reasons I wrote the letters in the first place to act as a counterpoint to the lopsided reporting.

There is also very little concerning the fact that we have given so much playing time to young Scottish and young British players yet there is no comment about United fielding teams with no Scottish players and hardly any players from the Home Nations either. I am not against foreign players playing obviously but there should be development of young Scottish players if our country is to improve footballing wise. This positive thing about our club is never mentioned yet we hear every little negative thing about the club.

Then you consider Lee Wilkie being a United fan even if he did play for us. Then there is Jim Spence who is a United fan. Then Steven Finan who I believe is a United fan. I can recall only possibly Martel Maxwell working for them as a columnist who is a Dee.

Even St Johnstone has on occasion received better write-ups by Dc Thomsons than we have done.

Just from top of my head, you have the tea teams podcast now for a few years has/had two Dee's plus the Dee correspondent who favours them, with the Utd correspondent who isn't a Utd fan

I've no problem with it but can imagine what would be said roles reversed

The bit about the no Scottish players, we didn't hear the end of it for a few weeks, what a deeluded fud

If I had to watch that shyte every week I'd be applying for victims compensation myself!

On the story of the match video it was great seeing Vicko singing Beautiful Sunday along with the fans, would have been even better if he'd been joining in with "Dundee fc! you'll always be shyte!" 🤣

Duthie has gone. Alan Temple hosts the United one and George Cran the Fun version. Temple is good.

                    • Was anybody surprised that after scoring Dolcek didn't run the entire length of the pitch finishing in a knee slide with arms wide to get it right up the opposition support?

                      No me neither.

Sapsford gave it to them right enough though, although he didn't run the length of the pitch of course.

He was scoring it in front of Utd fans in the Shed but still chose to run towards the ET

Planning celebrations for Sunday past too

I can't recall seeing a Utd player score at Dens and ever run towards the Derry, late winners included, they just run towards our fans, never acknowledge the funsters

There was one though I enjoyed, Mac 90, he run past the jerry kerr getting it up them a bit, he also did this as an agent by coming onto the Tannadice decked in Utd scarf after getting them relegated

But he acknowledged their fans with that gesture, yes or no? Don't get me wrong,I have no issue with him for it and couldn't care less how they felt about it either. Was just pointing it out as its very unlike you to get it so wrong 🤣
