A lot of goals conceded from tippy tappy passing with the Gk and defence

In the old days you were told not to pass across your own box - now it is encouraged

Might be worthwhile for United to stop doing it for a while or try the slick passing further up the pitch or if under less pressure

We have lost a lot of goals recently and most of them have been needless

It?s nuts how many teams are still trying to do this. Fair enough if you?ve players of the caliber of Man City, Barca etc etc.

My son?s U/18 team mostly play on bobbly pitches with almost no grass (too hot to keep it in good nick) and they try to do it. The amount of goals they?ve shipped is unbelievable. The sooner this pish gets binned the better.

There are sound tactical reasons for doing it, ultimately it's comes down to creating space behind the opposition defence. However, it needs discipline and common sense from players. I wouldn't say the latter is a trait I'd associate with too many football players...

When you have plenty of points on the board and are sitting comfortably in the league by all means do it. Right now we need to get points on the board or we end up creating trouble for ourselves. Following United for years and the saying we are too good to go down is pish. We have seen in the not so distant past that we have brought our own struggles to the fore and been rightfully relegated because the belief was we'll sort it soon mantra.

          • Well, I know what you mean but we are sitting 4th in the league. Ok it's tighter than a gnat's chuff and, of course, we need to be getting points on the board. However, we are doing ok at the moment and I think we'll get better as the season goes on. It's useful to remember just how many players we signed in the summer, it's a whole new team really.

Yeah, it was brutal. However, I've lost count of the number of times I've watched Scotland play brilliant then get beat. So, phuckit.

                      • Mulligan and Barron called into the squad. Now even if Mulligan still played for The Fun i would back that decision,Barron who is struggling to get into The Huns team should be nowhere near any international side including San Marino's.

Great wee player of course but his final ball has let him down a lot.

                            • Been awful again, probably two of the worst performances from Scotland since the Euro's and Greece at home in the Nation's league.Throw in Northern Ireland at home. This team have been 4 doon at halftime in their last two group games yet could have been level against us well into the 2nd half.

                              • Too many so called big players aff form in this camp,Robertson,McTominay and McGinn to name 3.The stat of the game was Belarus managed 22 shots at Hampden and that is simply unacceptable.Credit to the squad for keeping us in with a shout and picking up 6 points when it so easily could have been 1 from the two games.

On that form we have no chance of winning the group or a play off to reach the finals.I just hope and pray that we improve tenfold in November.
