Won a game more than us and lost more games , is that what you want to know . He's in his 1st season so how can you say what Goodwin has done against his record .Originally posted by shedka View PostWhat's elvis done upto now, what's his league win and loss %?
Goodwin at United has finished 4th and got us European football so a bit silly to be bumping your gums when he's behind a Goodwin side having a poorer season (albeit we should have ten more Pts minimum)

Who gives an honest f*ck about them? We have our own problems and oneupmanship means absolutely f*ck all right now. If Shedka wants to cream his knickers over crowd figures, win percentages or who won what where and f*cking when? Just leave the clown to his mutterings. He talks absolute shyte and sleep walked his way though our relegation season with a happy jolly demeanour cos everything was fine
F*ck him

You get points for draws too, that's football, you brought it up not me
JGs got a better win% and lower loss % than Elvis in top fight with us
If you want to be fair and compare JGs first full season in top fight after 28 games with Elvis' now then it's even wider in JGs favour
To be honest, what they will be focusing on to motivate them now is finishing above United, that's kind of the way Elvis works if you believe Cran on the courier podcast so JG needs to focus on that too as 7th is best we can do this season

I really don't give a f**k where they finish or above us is like cup win for them . Im only interested in how backwards we are going with his tactics and playing players who don't deserve to be in the team . All you go on about is his record with us hardly ever about the defeats and displays we watching .Originally posted by shedka View PostYou get points for draws too, that's football, you brought it up not me

You are the one that brought it up on the today's games thread 😁
It comes down to if you think we are going backwards overall as a club or just the ups and downs of a frustrating season
If thinking in the short term then you can argue that but if thinking overall and the bigger picture then no we haven't gone backwards, we've gained promotion and will likely consolidate again for a third season in top fight while improving the financial situation and cutting the stupid wage bills left from prior regime and also having a younger age profile, plenty to work with going forward

I had these year down as a topsy turvy year with the number of players we brought in at the start of the season. It was obvious that we would have some success stories and some horror stories. My big issue is that we are playing a system that doesn't work and when we have had the opportunity to change it or get the players in to make it work...we haven't done so. I just can't put my finger in whether JG thinks we have the adequate players or if the owner doesn't want to back the manager any further than he has. Either way....we need a change of direction for next season, because this is an entertainment industry and right now.....we are paying to not be entertained...on a dreadful stage...without any clear plan and not many positives! We really need something to give us a bit of optimism.

The pitch looks like the Germania battlefield at the start of Gladiator, you could just see russell crowe amidst the carnage of utd v st mirren Tuesday, bodies flying all over the place, standing in the muddy centre circle with a wry smile shouting 'are you not entertained'Originally posted by weegiearab View PostI had these year down as a topsy turvy year with the number of players we brought in at the start of the season. I think we’re all guilty of moaning when we’re where we are in the League and quote our crowds and budgets etc against the likes of Well and Falkirk, but holy phuck that’s nothing compared to Tottenham. How the actual phuck with the level of resources they possess can they be anywhere near where they are currently. 3-1 Palace and it’s looking like it could get even worse. They could be goners this season you know…………….

Spurs have had a crippling injury list for the last 2 seasons so that is the main reason. When they played the Gooners a couple of weeks ago there were in my opinion only 2 of the starting 11 that would have started(Vicario and Van de Ven)had there been a full squad to pick from. Kulusevski and Maddison not played all season and mostly young uns from the u21s and u18s on the bench to try and make subs from so that's massive but the performances haven't been good enough and 100% lack the fight to stay up🫣Originally posted by JamesMcClean View PostI think we’re all guilty of moaning when we’re where we are in the League and quote our crowds and budgets etc against the likes of Well and Falkirk, but holy phuck that’s nothing compared to Tottenham. I managed to get tickets for Spurs v Leeds in May so that's a huge game....or they might be down by then☹️

Could be! The Spurs team that could be made up from their injured (bad luck) and their suspended (self inflicted) players over the season with at times 13/14 first team squad out tbf wouldn't be where they are. The supposed financial fair play rules mean they can't just throw more and more money at it where their 'stars' are out long term. Man City seem to be able to walk all over financial fair play rules though!Originally posted by JamesMcClean View PostI think we’re all guilty of moaning when we’re where we are in the League and quote our crowds and budgets etc against the likes of Well and Falkirk, but holy phuck that’s nothing compared to Tottenham.
