Our attendances are up. Could do with a stat comparison to the last Prem season 😎 Shedka but it looks like we're breaking 10,000 at home more often.

The numbers are staggering,we keep hearing about the current DFC side being their best for years but the gulf in attendance figures on Tannadice ST appears to be getting wider in our favour.Maybe i have got this wrong but I'm sure Shedka will know?.

I think the club need to rethink giving away our spiritual home in the Shed. If we continue to get consistent crowd levels as they are now and that is showing a marked increase in the home support, then we need to ensure our fans are where they belong!
With my situation this season, ive looked for tickets as a PATG and only a few seats remain and would rather sit in the Shed than the seats remaining in the GF Lower. I just wonder how many more fans would attend the shed if that was available rather than the last minute Jerry Kerr?

Not quite
15/16 7,969 Still very good as we were properly adrift all season
21/22 7,301 but includes 500 v hibs and 4500 v Sevco due to covid restrictions
22/23 9,328 brilliant to go down with that kind of support that stuck with it all season, our best ave since 9,339 in 96/97 but that season we were flying not going down again
8,408 in the championship last season with no much away support while the fun, Killie and St Mirren got over 6000 ave due to the big clubs boosting it
Think the telling thing about the crowds we are pulling in for your normal games, as good as ever certainly since the Tommy McLean season but that we'd be 6th in the country by a good 2-3k even without away fans, whereas the others who we lazily get banded with when we are literally in a category alone between them and your hearts,Hibs, sheep is they get 4500-5500 home fans tops outside maybe the odd derby or big important game near the end of season, we've not had less than 8000 home fans in, even Vs Sevco
Add our ridiculously good away support over the last few years where we are getting to be restricted in what we could potentially take such as tonight, then it's safe to say we are having a little boom period
Hopefully we maintain it and improve the way we sell tickets, open up sections elsewhere instead of forcing people into the GF when they are not many left in there and people find any to go in there
If so then our current average is 11,839 may not drop too drastically over the season, might even end up with our first 5 figure ave since 90/91
Our top 5 averages btw
1988/89 12,830
1960/61 11,382
1982/83 11,133
1983/84 10,894
1985/86 10,842
Best 5 this century
2022/23 9,328
2008/09 8,654
2007/08 8,530
2019/20 8,496 (2nd tier)
2023/24 8,408 (2nd tier)

Yea another excellent home support
The funsters are seek, they have a thread about our crowd, trying to deelude themselves into believing they are fictional but the reality is we are getting 3-4k more home fans currently and always a much bigger away following, suppose these are made up too??
One said he saw lots of enough seats on pictures, was that ten minutes before half time?
You don't see the 2k Utd fans across both upper tiers on TV, both full, the only area with any amount of empty seats was near the corner of GF lower beside the shed, we had fans in the Jerry Kerr too, albeit not as many yesterday
That's 6 home games with the lowest attendance 8,349
Average 10,600 roughly
Still a long way to go but if we sustain these levels then we'll see our first five figure average support in 30+ years and the first this century in the country outside of the obvious five - Killie were the last, one year in the late 90s when they were big spending and giving the old firm 9000 away tickets 4 times a season
