Here?s an idea; let?s bin VAR and put the money towards bringing back the reserve league so we can actually nurture our young players and keep fringe players match fit.
this will also give more proper match time to officials to try to work out how to officiate.

However Ive always said a levy on the gate of 50p would more than pay for European or other registered refs to come and do matches.
In fact one international panel would make this possible for all.

In 40 years of watching utd, I've seen more than my fair share of dreadful refereeing decisions, including the worst ever - the non paddy Connolly goal, numerous costly cup final decisions, the Simon Murray non penalty red card play off decision, the ciftci Inverness fiasco, but I'm asking myself, how the hell in the short time with var, we've actually managed to get maybe two of the top 5 at least, bad decisions in my time of supporting utd- the Curtis main dive and goal midweek chopped off.

The word on the Pavie is that the VAR screen wasn't working before the game and the teams and Ref were told this. But.......instead of agreeing that this could end up a problem and deciding to play the game without it (like some cup matches) The (paid) officials went on regardless.

The first VAR call was announced at the match as "possible offside" then when the VAR folk couldn't get the lines working it mysteriously then turned in to "possible handball" (meh erse) THEN... with the Ref having no way to check his original decision due to (technical difficulties) he had to accept (blindly) that the "impartial" VAR guys in The Glesgae had spotted something (anything) that he didn't.

As for it getting binned in Scotland, ain't gonna happen. It has been mentioned a few times, that UEFA like it and want it (with better Refs etc) so the SFA will just kiss arse and hope that the experience our Refs have of using our sh*t version of it will get them some lower European games to referee.

I have yet to see, or read anyone that has watched that goal say it hit Sam's hand . Unlike others, we stood up to VAR and it looks like it is coming back big time, to bite our arses.

It's a sickened by that decision midweek. If we miss out on third due to that decision (and a guaranteed ?5M to boot) that will be so unfair to the United players.

The best & only way we have to hit back at this injustice is to still get third in the league.

'Mon the shed - we can do this!

Nae chance we will get top 3. Too many teams hitting form just now , and others picking up a few points that were hard to come by, not so long ago.

Top 6? Defo....... Been a great season so far considering, we were going straight back down...

I'm going for 6th .... and quite happy with that. (no bad ata)

I feel so strongly about this I've just decided to send an email to the SFA to express my feelings on the subject.

                  To whom it may concern.

I'm writing to express my anger, frustration, dismay and utter bemusement at the decision to disallowed the recent legitimate goal scored by Sam Dalby for Dundee United against Hibernian. I personally believe this to have been blatant cheating by the VAR operative on the night rather than just utter incompetence. Scottish football relies upon fans attending games and the use of VAR in our top flight has been utterly scandalous and is killing the enjoyment of the game for people like myself. Dundee United mean everything to me and the damage done to our season by incompetence and outright bias could be financially catastrophic for the club. The person responsible for this latest decision should,in my opinion be banned from officiating at Premiership level and from ever being allowed near VAR again.

I fully expect my email to land upon deaf ears of course and for nothing whatsoever to happen, but I'd like you all to be aware how fans of provincial clubs such as United are affected by the corrupt nature of our officials.

                  Regards,
                  Arabdownsouth.

Of course I expect no reply but will post it if I get one.

No coincidence that it was probably one of our most important games regarding league positions.

Massive difference from where we are now, and where we might have been.

Exactly mate, absolutely crucial game and my anger just won't go away. This c*nt absolutely has to be made accountable. He won't of course,he had the whistle for the Celtic game tonight it seems.

Former leading referee Dermot Gallagher has given his take on three key moments in Hibs' 3-1 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice.

This c*nt can f*ck off too.

I still am at a loss regarding Dickenson getting 3 of our games recently and the decisions that have gone against us, obviously McDermid more to blame for the Dalby goal

However St Mirren away in January, we won but he awarded that pen in stoppage time when it was a clear dive, the fact VAR looked at that and didn't overturn it and took Walton to save it for us to win, THEN a 5 person kmi panel vote 5-0 to say it was a penalty when on every replay I seen it showed it was a dive

Then you fast forward to Killie away, another's crucial game and a tight one, their goal, ok since think it was a foul some don't, Dickenson let's the goal stand even though it looked like a foul, his first instinct was not too call a foul and gave VAR check it, he was happy for it to be a goal, for me on the replays you can see Watkins arms bang Walton's arm, impedes him but maybe they don't want to go against the ref? Either way imo should have been disallowed but it's the fact he had a good view and most of the time refs or VAR call fine those as fouls, would have been a good away point in the end

Wednesday don't need to repeated, we know what bullshyt that was with VAR , we also all saw how Dickenson reffed the game and it was clearly not in our favour

I just don't trust the motives of these guys sorry, they all like football and they all support someone and they have bias in this country, it's a small country with 75% of the population in the Central belt, the majority in greater Glasgow and many hvns etc or people that will have connections with guys who support Ayrshire/Lanarkshire clubs etc more liable to away towards those cuddly clubs than Utd, Edinburgh and surrounding area the next biggest, think they are getting it right in turkey getting in Slovenian refs and the like for games like Galatasaray v Fenerbache

If we made a list of the blatant bad VAR decisions and put the footage below with a slowed down GIF of each and showed it to someone from say England and said what do you make of these? Can you imagine their reaction, the Dalby one from wed, the pen in paisley, the goal in Killie, the Curtis main dive that wasn't even VAR checked, the watt sending off v Motherwell

Obviously as was mentioned by James we have so many others that are so bad before VAR, not in nothing games, in big games

Crazy really, honest mistakes though? Not every one, I'll never be convinced otherwise

While credit is due to Hibs for turning around their start to the season, they have profited from 2 absolutely outrageous decisions and i fully believe they are 6 points ahead of where they should be. Im sure in both games that incorrect decisions gave Hibs the upper hand which they capitalized on.

Where we might have been, am i right in thinking we could have been 9 points ahead of this resurgent Hibs team?

Sadly i doubt there will be any compensatory aspect to this where all we will hear is "its just football"!

Seemingly they couldn't draw lines for offside because there was bodies in the way. What! Bodies in the way?? Oh dear. A 12 year old gamer could do better with that.
But they kept looking and decided if they said it was head to hand no one would be able to say they were wrong. Bad idea. Found out. Cheats.
