We have a big job on our hands at end of the season replacing loan players and strengthening the squad without the distraction of European football.
Going to be a tough season with Plastic pitches of Killie, Falkirk and possibly livingston on surfaces we tend to lose on.
Yeah , totally understand your take on that. In saying that, we may end up playing in Europe whether we like it or not.

I can't see, unless, there are a few crazy scores along the way, us not ending up fifth. And... agree with ADS about not having to play in that early league thingy...

Then........... the money thing comes in to it (as always)

Totally agree about the plastic (all weather) pitches... Possibly, 5 SPL teams playing in Europe , yet, still have to play on that sh*t ???

I don't care how much money they make out of those pitches "off peak"

Top league in Scotland ...........grass ONLY.

I kind of get what they mean though. If you look at Kilmarnock - did really well last season and qualified for Europe, but they've really struggled this season which you could argue that is down to the extra games/travelling early season and not having a squad big enough to deal with it. Same could be said for Hearts - they were stinking early season after finishing well clear in third.

There will be games of fine margins, outrageous var decisions and sheer good or bad fortune to come, next few games will be the usual edge of the seat stuff, it?s the SPL race for Europe

Thinking about when Jack Ross took us to Alkmaar if only the overhead scissors kick from Harkes had gone in who knows what may have followed

I believe Goodwin to be a far better manager and hungry which is a good thing. I do think it?s time to give him credit for getting us here.

It is almost certainly going to be Europe next season and the higher up the league we finish the more likely the experience will be good, especially if we avoid the sh*tty cup

Got to go for it, and against Celtic that means tight at the back both for goal difference and giving ourselves a chance

Yeah Europe for me is the aim - no way I would want us to miss out on it and it can help get us better team next season.

I also believe that with JG we are better run and organised

Touch wood but I don?t think we will be underprepared for Europe like some teams have been with change of manager etc

I think it's utterly ridiculous that anyone would not want us to compete in European competition. Mind you, I grew up supporting a United team that done this every year.

Hearts fans all agree that their recruitment for this season was rotten, despite the big budget. And from what I've seen of Hearts I'd have to agree with that.
                They're bottom 6 for a reason.

St Mirren have just sold their striker. I thought we were hard done by with Holt leaving but to sell a player with 5 games left, is bonkers!

They must have had to release him now to get the fee in the bank.
Not sure it makes them easier opponents though!

"Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad told his club website: "Toyosi is a dynamic goalscorer who adds more physicality and verticality to our attack.

"He will provide valuable depth at the forward position, especially as we enter the busiest stretch of our season."

Now that's a blast from the past

Don?t think he ever made an appearance for us?.but think we sold him for a fee iirc!

Up there with names like Goran Marklund (huge waste of money!) and JJ Misse-Misse!

None more than the boatload arrivals of south and Central Americans wee Jum coordinated in 2000
