  • Our Outs n Ins start with Doc n ........

Well it looks like the list of departures has grown since Saturday.

After Gallagher and Moult a few weeks ago, Babunski is not getting the year option activated and Doc is not getting a new contract, although nothing on the official yet.

Not fussed about Babunski as he rarely finished a game he started and his impact on games was not as expected. Doc however on his day was head and shoulders above anyone else on the park, but injury robbed us.

    Whos next this week then?

This one's risky, we need a strong squad, Docherty has had a decent run at end of season and is our best midfielder imo and was easily worth another year

However , maybe we'll sign more news players than expected but we need depth which is why letting the likes of Doc and Gall go is a risk

He'll end up at a fun, Motherwell, St Mirren or Killie next season

Yeah the squad was too small last season (tbf docherty and moult were injured a lot), but this is starting feeling like a complete rebuild once you add a the loan players and those who haven't cut it.

Having secured a fourth-placed finish in the William Hill Premiership and our return to the European stage,  strategic planning within the football department for the 2025/26 campaign is already underway...

More details now with some as expected.

Sam Dalby who returns to his parent club and a new employer for next season.

Jack Walton back to Luton where an option of another year has been triggered and i hope first team regular. If not, maybe back here.

Then there is Luca and Manny returning to their clubs. Would happily see both of them back here, but i fear we need someone with a bit of experience that Gallagher brings at the back to help. Fiorini and Paton back to their parent clubs, both a bit disappointing in that their effort was probably equal, especially when one of them got a fair amount of game time.

Then things peter out and you get the cursory mention of Watt finally away with Olly Simpson, Zeke Cameron, Adam Carnwrath and Brian Mwangi all departing. Thought there was hopes for Carwrath, but hey ho.

I thought Docherty was pretty poor in the last few matches. We need a better, more reliable player in there.

Honestly, I don't think I'm fussed about anyone that's been let go. 🤔

All depends who comes in and whether they stay fit

Doc had certainly commitment, however we need in general to be a step up all over the park.

It's still a bit disappointment for me as we still need depth so even as squad players and not being a starter each week he was a no brainer for me

                  Interestingly, no mention of Campbell.

When are we gonna sign someone, FFS! On a serious point, a lot of loans come in late, so might be too late for our European sorte. Hopefully the signings/upgrades will be more Scott mcmann to will ferry, than Nicky Clark to Rory McLeod.

St Johnstone having a total clear out (unsurprisingly!), however on their website detailing this, Sam McClelland is NOT listed in the ‘Out Of Contract and Not Being Renewed’ section. He IS out of contract however clearly they’re trying to persuade him to re-sign. I really wouldn’t be surprised if we’re in for him.

Id 100% be only keeping Doc out of that list. He's our best midfielder imo and even though he wasn't great v St Murn he done some unbelievable work off the ball v The Sheepies. A 2 year deal would have been ideal.

Nah, I don't think he takes being a professional athlete serious enough.
