  • Huns (a) Oct 18

Things looking much better again now that Slippy G has knocked back Der Hun.

After talks following Russell Martin's sacking, Steven Gerrard turns down the chance to return to Rangers for a second stint as manager.

Must have been given an increased allocation for this - had been showing as sold out but tickets now back available again.

Do we have the players to go there and get a result? Definitely. But which United is going to show up.
Maybe facing a side under pressure to attack us will suit us better like it did at Easter Road.
Meantime every day that ticks by without them appointing a new coach is a good day.

The team I would go with would be in a 4-5-1

          -------------------Kucherenko-------------------

          Stephenson----SCH----KK----------Ferry

          Fatah-----Sibbald----Camara------Sapsford

          -------------------Dolcek------------------

          -------------------Moller------------------

Esselink and Iovu have been good but form may have dipped. No harm in playing SCH imo. He played against them last season and scored at Ibrox. Sibbald in for Sevelj just for a bit more creativity in the middle. Get Fatah and Sapsford to run at them and hit the byeline. Cut it back like what Sapsford did in Austria for Watters and thunder a hard low cross in, now and again. It doesn't always have to be a high cross into the box for a header.

ThereÂ’s a good chance Barry Ferguson will be in charge which means a lot of effort will go in which was lacking from previous games. I think rangers will win it 3-2.

United are a tidy team, your manager is my 3rd favorite for the job behind Barry and Derek.. being honest IÂ’d take a few players too but IÂ’d feel bad because unlike Celtic , I like a competitive league. Rangers have always been fair and paid good money , or sold for decent prices. Many players have played for both clubs. How have Celtic treated you in the market?

Given the special relationship between the Hun and the Fun i have a feeling my Dens Park mole maybe on the money with his prediction that The Pundit will be in the Ibrox home dugout when we grace their midden on Saturday

Carrie's made sure his CV went in as soon as Martin was punted 😁

(Carrie is his long suffering missus from the old series At Home With The McCanns)

Smith in charge. Well if you can?t beat the rangers this weekend then you should be worried. It would likely be the beginning of a terrible run (or maybe a point in the last two was the beginning?) All pressure on away side now it would seem.

BTW, if your team can't score against us they'd be as well giving up!

I think it will be a tightly contested game with 2 teams who will probably be battling it out for top 6 at the end of the season. Should be a good game.!

Yes will be tight, sadly will be travelling during the game but heyho.

If there is commitment and discipline then we can win. Everyone has to show up and have no fear of the crowd, or the decisions from the ufficials.

Before the last two home games i would have been pretty confident about today but i have now reverted to type and think the bookies odds(2/5 Huns 6/1 United) are probably about right although i'm very tempted to back us at 6/1.

Its been another tumultuous week in The Big Hoose with their new manager 5663 miles away in China and an U19 coach in the dugoot today. We have a very very good away record so far this season and are unbeaten in 3 and they are having a mare home and away.Everything points to us getting something today but we simply cannot be trusted to deliver and are probably the hardest team in the league to predict.

I think today the hardest team to predict is Rangers. I don't think anyone knows how they will perform given they are managerless. Teams often get a bounce after sacking a manager who wasn't performing regardless who is in the dugout. What we need to do is start on the front foot and not concede any daft early goal which will help dictate whether the Huns are rejuvenated and their fans get a lift or they are still in the doldrums.
