            ............. a win of 3-1 to us...... DCL 21.

Orgs, was the smiley badge on our 75/76 shirt with collar and elastic v shape insert ?
.............the number 4 with the wayward boot in photo one by common consensus appears to belong to Martin Buchan circa 1973/74/75 suggests an online quiz question......... a decent centre back in his day........
but team sheet 1975/76 reporting that Whites lost 1-2 Reds........ League Div 1 October 1975, at Elland Road with Belfast born Tommy Jackson wearing their 4 jersey in their 75/76 kit.......... official adjudication please on Billys shirt as their away kit suggests ER 75/76 to me as the answer.

The top image shows Man United in black shorts instead of their (more normal) white ones.

I think away teams were officially required to wear "different" shorts to the home team for the 1975/6 season so I'm guessing that must be the 11th October 1975 game?

Looks like a 75/76 Leeds shirt to me too, but we had the occasional bad habit of mixing seasons up around then (grab whatever shirt happened to be to hand!)

I'm definitely not considered an oracle on 70's shirts though (I'm more GK's and 80's onwards!), so you might want to ask someone who really knows what they're talking about!

...... closer look at Billys left hand suggests that Dave Stewart our keeper is bending down pulling up his sock with a blue top on...... he did often wear a blue top....... sure its his head next to the draped Leeds scarf over the advertising board......... i need better specs in my old age ............ or less wine. 😂
                happy new year Org !

Hi Mrs O. That is not Martin Buchan. Martin Buchan wore number 6 when he played for Manchester United. Remember that detail clearly. Hope this helps.

As said earlier, think it's Jim Holton
