Agreed and lots of positives to take from that game. Ampadu continues to show he is easily good enough at this level. Some of the football was really free flowing at times and until players got tired the pressing for the first 60 to 70 minutes was excellent.
The ref got most of the big calls right but was inconsistent with cards and not sure how they had 10 players on the pitch at the end with a lot of outright dissent not being punished.
Yes some negatives too but showed we can compete with the best which is big progress.
Still wish Farke would make subs a little earlier (and in recent weeks he has) but possibly made them 10 minutes too late.

That was a thrilling game. Norfolk is right. A flashback to the MB days. Very easy to watch. Gut punch at end but we showed we are prem level during this run.
Trying to stay positive on Perri. He did make some bigs saves that are easy to forget. However, it?s strange to have Darlow sitting that is so consistent.

He is horrible and only saves he save are the ones straight at him, and even then he panics and nearly farkes them up. He is a horror much worse than Meslier. If Orka were the recruiter for this guy, you guys would have him crucified by now, with no hope of a Lazarus return. I could see it all game; he was going to kill us. As for defending, wtf. I don't even know how we get any results, to be frank, and if DCL didn't find form, we would be down with the other 3 looking up.Originally posted by spaldy View PostThat was a thrilling game. Farke's praise on here is unreal; he hasn't changed.

Not really, Bijol only holds on to jumpers and trips players. Pat loves the guy, but he is a liability too slow. Rodon, our best defender, was all at sea in this game. Early on in the season Gud was our main cause of coping goals, but he rectified this and is probably the best of all defenders by a country mile. The amount of goals we are conceding isn't just keepers fault, it's a collective. We might look ok because of numbers, but stats don't lie. last what 9 games we won, 1? I think that's hardly exciting, yet we have improved somehow with draws and collecting points. We aren't going down; we are beyond that, but this team doesn't have the ability to keep us up in the long run.Originally posted by hopelesslyoptimistic View PostIn brighter news we finally look strong in the full back area with depth on the bench - DCL and Gudmunson must be vying for signing of the season.

Hmmm not sure we are disagreeing on the full back point.Originally posted by ozleeds View PostNot really, Bijol only holds on to jumpers and trips players. The aim this season was to stay up and if as seems more likely that we do then would fully expect us to offload some and further improve the squad with more quality on the pitch and on the bench.

Seems to be interest in Meslier, Piroe, Joffy and Harrison this window. Byram won?t be with us next year.Originally posted by ozleeds View PostTrouble is no one wants our rejects
Suspect we will sell one or more of Gnonto, Struijk or James if the right offer comes in too.
We should also be better off financially with a second year of PL money.
Some of the younger players may be closer to the squad too.

Why the hostility? Yes they are PL competition and.yes they beat us, but only because aparently we can't defend a lead, not their fault, ours.Originally posted by Rev72 View PostAfter last night I was reminded just how much I hate them Barcode b@stards , absolute vile scum bags , wish them the very worst possible the oil/blood money cnuts!

I don't mind them at all. I had a season ticket there when I lived in Newcastle for a year (via my wife) during the Keegan Golden Years and even though they knew I was a Leeds fan they were mostly quite pleasant. It only became slightly fraught when they played Leeds.Originally posted by Rev72 View PostAfter last night I was reminded just how much I hate them Barcode b@stards , absolute vile scum bags , wish them the very worst possible the oil/blood money cnuts!
