Head scratcher for sure. Aaronson has been in form and works his tail off. He?s also signed for us.

      Why develop a competitors player?

Yes. Both Bielsa and Farke always look for this type of player. One of the interesting similarities in playing/coaching philosophy. A player who can carry the ball and run at the opposing defence directly. Bielsa had Carlos Tevez when Argentina won Olympic Gold. Farke got Rutter (now gone), and now he has Stach. But stach is not quite as fast or as clever with the ball. Buonanotte is a clever left footed player.

He could not get a game at Chelsea!

its a straight up loan, no option or obligation to buy, he wasn't getting gametime on loan at chelsea, hes only 21, good skill and definitely a playmaker type player, something that we don't have many of in the squad, its a useful addition, some creative flair, but Farke has always said, loans are iffy signings as he will never guarantee them minutes, Facundo will have to work hard to force his way into the 11, could feature on the bench I would imagine, at least to start with

Pretty freaky today. In less than 5 minutes. Takes a hit from a defender to the face. Bleeding and gets up grabs the ball and cannons a shot which is blocked by defender or is likely going in.

Bielsa always seems to have a good eye for a player he flagged Ben White, Gvardiol, Eze and Olise amongst others he wanted to sign.

He also seems to have a clear idea of where and how he wants them to play - ergo Phillips.

Bounonette looks like a solid player and in the very limited time on the pitch showed glimpses of why we wanted him.

Surely you need 2 players for each position? OK I'll stop calling you Shirley

Its all gone quiet on the Jorgen Strand Larsen transfer with Crystal Palace emerging as favourites to sign him now.

Too much of a gamble for me given we are well and truly in a relegation battle but we still need a striker , doubt we will get one knowing our track record.

Ok, so DCL was a gamble, but it would appear to have paid off. Goals have come from a number of players, bith attacking oriented and from other outfield players with a less "obvious" parts of the pitch. Nmetchka, Stach, Gnonto and others have all contributed. Why do we need anyone to come in and (potentially), disturb a squad tgat has belief AND confidence following the change of tactics shown after the break at Schitty? What we DO need is a coach who has the confidence to use subs earlier and to effect/affect a game, not simply as fresh legs. He's shown he can do that, why we sat back against the Toffees is beyond me, it was bound to fail with only a single goal lead.

I like farke and he?s a good manager, but I?m not sure why he can?t see what everyone else appears to see in this changing players sooner malarkey.

He sometimes talks about being cautious by nature maybe it?s that.
