Now I know who we are talking about I agree with those who are sceptical of his value. Must be others that represent better value for money?

Hard to judge value as it’s all a bit bonkers. He has been injured and had little service this year but has shown in other seasons why he is so highly rated.

Think now we have seen the summer signings get more game time there were no genuine duds we have signed so far - Perri just probably isn’t worth the 17m we paid.

Been impressed with James Justin and he did well again last night filling in at LB. Hard to defend on your wrong foot against good players.

Hope Gudmunsson back soon as he really makes a difference down that flank.

Not that hefty fee wise for JSL.
40m seems alot but only 10m a year over a 4 year contract, so amortisation helps us, so only 5m towards PSR line then a few attacking outs to balance as & when any offers come in which they defo are.
Tis why Chelsea do 7 year contracts 😂

The new Squad Cost Rules (SCR) from the 2026/27 season will replace PSR which will limits clubs spending on player wages, agent fees & transfer amortisation to a maximum of 85 per cent of their football revenue.

Suspect if its a goer then it will be 35m plus add ons & his agent is a Leeds fan too apparently.

If Mateta leaves Palace for Florists, Palace must be favourites to get him?

The Leeds obsession on fixating on one player in a transfer window. Shades of Ryan Kent all over again.

can't understand how the same scouting crew that came up with Stach, Gudmunsson, Nmencha, Justin, Bijol and DCL can't find anyone in the world better than a 40 million dollar player that's scored less goals than some of our backs. This guy obviously leaves the second we are relegated and we are out the huge fee. We never even gave Piroe a chance. I understand we are a very small squad but a lot of chemistry with this group and risking disrupting it for a striker that hasn't done the job this season.

West Ham have done so much better with 2 quality impact signings. Looks like Forest is gettign Mateta. A striker that actually has scored in the prem.

we have to hope that Palace continues its free fall and keep playing as a team.

Not sure we need another striker given Piroe has said he won?t leave. We seem light in the wide positions given the injury to Dan James and the reluctance to play Gnonto - would prefer us to get Wilson whose contract is running down and who wants to move back up north.

Would take Wilson in a shot, proven goal scorer and excellent player, disappointing that it all fell through last time.

We won't be staying up if we continue to retreat into ourselves like the 2nd half v Everton. Farke is slowly regressing back to pre city style. He doesn't know a good system if it hit him in the face.

Bit harsh? 1 defeat in 10 with a newly promoted team. We should have been at least 2 up ht. He gets more right than wrong imo

Really hope he has someone chirping at him about the fatigue and getting subs in quicker or he recognizes it himself.

we all make mistakes. Let's hope he learns.

Moyes is a good coach and made some nice adjustments at half time

Not really. His record up to tge secind half against Schitty was dismal, which is why we are where we are.

What works? Use it. What doesn't work, don't use it. Simples.

The last few games have shown what we can do, but we've not pulled away from others who in all likelihood have a better overall squad but have been misfiring. We can't work on the basis that they will continue to do so

Expect nothing else from you....a comment after a so called disappointing result... a draw away to Everton!!, you've been very quiet regards actual team performances of late ... in every game in the last 10 he has changed tactics and formations at start and during a game.
Our squad is rated as 18th in value..... let that sink in to your little anti Farke head foor a moment..
The team has overachieved and we have collected more points than most expected at the start of season
