Apparently we have conceded 14 goals in the last 15 minutes of games, why does this continue to happen, are we not fit enough or just not good enough, I believe a bit of both.

I think a wee bit of both, disappointed yes, but I look at it as a good point away from a very good Villa team. A good point for us.
Swings and roundabouts, horseshoe up our asses against chelski. A good point for us.
Our aim is safety. Always remember one of Don?s sayings, ?we start with a point?we play not to lose it?

Its a decent away point, another closer to the 40 needed. Agree, prob the 4/5 time we have conceded late on, and for most all from corners or free kicks, which we still lack any real conviction in defending, guess thats the extra quality of the Prem. Hopefully a learning curve squad wise, and whats required recruitment wise in the summer, option B,C,D,E, not just the one.!

a lower rate of goals has meant games are tighter this season than they have been in recent PL years…... more at stake now during frequent second-half time added on than in other recent seasons…..so teams are now encouraged to push forward for the winner late on.
if every PL game had ended after 85 minutes this season, Leeds would be seventh in the table and challenging for Europe.
for any goal you can easily pick out an error or a lapse of concentration somewhere along our team chain and for me its not just tiredness, more of there being a lack of leadership and poor individual decision making in those dying minutes…… critical that the goalkeeper, from a communications standpoint, has to be alert with an extra set of eyes that updates the defence on developing patterns of play as they start to materialise as a keeper should have the ideal vantage point to see dangers at such a critical stage of the match as its his job from a communications standpoint to be those extra set of eyes and be vocal in alerting those in front of him to danger during those latter stages of matches.
makes our games interesting to watch and i certainly enjoy the anything is possible approach from our honest hard working group of players and looking at the PL list of coaches fired this season often yearned for as Farke replacements then careful what you wish for would be my take.

Farke had done remarkably well this season but he still had things to work on. I?ve been to a few games this season and mates have too.Originally posted by Ozwhites View PostWe seem to be conceding late goals at times lately after he has already made 2 or 3 subs too. Do we blame Farke for that as well??
During that period when his job was under threat he seemed to be less cautious and make more subs earlier and more of them.
I have been to a couple of games were the ere were players who looked tired after about 60 minutes and he waited another 20 minutes.
The problem is by them sometimes the momentum in the game has shifted and the players coming on don?t have time to shift it back.
In a seasons where fine margins count it might make a difference. He seems to be naturally cautious in that he doesn?t line players to take may risks and he is prone to stick rather than twist.
That is part of the overall package with him which I understand but it doesn?t make it any less frustrating.
